One sentence summary: Extremely disorganized and over priced, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!
I came over and hour away from Toledo to shop. I used to come all the time and loved it, absolutely not anymore and will not be back. Evidently something has significantly changed since my last trip.
As a general statement to cover the entire store, NOTHING was sorted by size. It was sorted by womens, mens, boys, girls, babies, shoes. From there, they sorted the type of clothes (pants, shorts, shirts, coats), so Iâll give them that. Thatâs it.Other than that, the entire huge section was a mixture of the same type of clothing.
For example: womens pants section was leggings, jeans, sweats, scrubs, work slacks, etc., all mixed together. For a huge selection of pants, itâs extremely time consuming to look for the right style of pants you want. Then to cluster f it further, itâs not sorted by size. Every size was mixed together.
You have to literally piece through every single item in your section to find the type of pants you like, then hope it may be your size. If you do happen to come across something you like that is your size, very good chance youâll still put it back bc itâs significantly over priced for USED clothing. Huge waste of time.
Value world prides themselves in the âhuge selectionsâ they have⌠it is very apparent why the selection and amount of items they have is so high. Takes forever to find something youâd like, then itâs over priced if you do like it.
Spent 2 hours there, walked out with 2 shirts for my kids that were honestly not worth what I paid. I bought them bc I figured âI just wasted 2 hours of my time shopping here, plus an hour commute each way⌠4 hours for absolutely nothing. Might as well leave with SOMETHING.â
How disappointing. Itâs a matter of time before they close. Look at the other reviews before wasting your time and money. I shouldâve before making the trip but figured it was the same as it used to be, why bother checking ya...
Read moreThe prices here are completely unorganized and ridiculously high. The system used to price items is not clear and some things seem to be priced incredibly high for no reason at all. Who is pricing these items? It doesn't make sense. I'd also like to mention that this store is dirty. I saw shoes that had actual clods of dirt in the soles.
I saw a pair of flat shoes that looked beat up and worn. They were frayed and a little dirty. I liked the style and picked them up to buy them. I couldn't see a price anywhere and figured they would be $5-$8 at most (considering everything here is overpriced - $8 would have been too high). I bring the shoes to the register and they are $15! $15 for frayed apart, used, dirty shoes?? I asked to see the price, the cashier showed me, and I said that was crazy and to please take them off my purchase. Why are dirty used shoes being sold for $15? I could get shoes of the same caliber, but BRAND NEW, at Walmart for $10-$12.
These items are donated. This is a completely greedy and soulless move from the higher management in order to line their pockets with our money. There are people who can only afford to shop at thrift stores - and places like this are pricing us out. The staff i interacted with were kind enough and i know they have no say in this type of unethical pricing of donated goods. I frequent the value world in Southgate and have seen some overpriced items but nothing like this. I think this will be my last trip to the Taylor value world. There is someone who is very greedy at this store and I do not want to continue to support their unethical...
Read moreI am writing to bring to your attention an experience I had on December 9, 2024, around 5:15 PM at your location. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by an unsettling interaction with the night cashier.
Upon attempting to purchase a product, I encountered an issue when it became clear that a tag was missing. The cashier abruptly informed me that I could not complete my transaction with a loud and dismissive, "You can't buy this!" Confused, I politely asked for clarification, to which she reiterated with the same level of volume that I could not buy the item due to the absence of a tag. I was unaware of this policy and sought to understand the situation better.
When I requested to speak to a manager to address the cashier's behavior, the interaction escalated unnecessarily. The cashier continued to engage in a back-and-forth with me in front of other customers instead of facilitating a resolution. I explained the situation to the manager, noting the cashier's conduct, but the experience left me feeling disrespected and frustrated.
I believe it is crucial for your team members to exhibit professionalism and understanding in their interactions with customers. I kindly suggest that this cashier receive additional training to ensure that future customers do not have to endure a similar experience.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I hope this will lead to improvements in customer service at your...
