Good food, hospitable restaurant and winery staff, however..... My wife and I were visiting from Salem, OR to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Stayed at POINTE Resort and decided to go wine hopping. We called an Uber and had a really great experience with this local driver. We have never been to Southern CA so we are very careful with the area. The Uber driver highly recommended Peltzer Winery since he and his wife had great experiences with them in the past so this was the first winery that we toured other than Pointe. I am a disabled Vet who have a hard time walking and my wife is also in the same boat in difficulty with walking so we ask the Uber driver if he could drop us off as far as he can towards Peltzer's entrance. We all saw the sign "No vehicles pass this point" pass the cars that was parked but we kindly asked our driver to pull in just a bit more by the paver stones and he politely agreed. We thanked him for his kindness and started to walk towards the circle and as he is reversing back his car, someone approached him, placed his hands on our driver's window and yelled "Did you saw the sign!?" We could barely hear the next conversation but saw our driver in terror. We are shocked that this person, whom we believe is "John" (saw a glance of his name tag) would be so rude to our driver that had recommended us to Peltzer. Me and my wife were so shocked at the treatment that our driver got and lost our appetite and could not wait to get our wine and move on. If this "John" treats our driver like this, are we as paying customers will be treated the same way or it will be with hypocrisy? Do we recommend this restaurant to anyone? I am not sure. Do our Uber Driver deserved to be treated as such? According to him, he was a paying customer too when he recommended this pace to us. Are all Temecula Winery treat everyone like this? Is there a discrimination between Uber Drivers and paying customers? Respect and dignity, especially in the hospitality and tourism industry should be universal whether you are a paying customer or not. For sure, if we ever come back to Temecula we might think twice...
Read moreSummer of 2020 some friends introduced my fiancé and I to Peltzer and changed our lives! Not only do they have the best wine in wine country, but their winery is family friendly. Because of this we signed up with memberships and commute 3 hours to temecula to utilize our amazing membership perks at least once a month. But that’s not all! The staff at Peltzer is AMAZING and goes out of their way to keep a smile on their faces, help you with any needs, and overall are just the best all around staff I’ve ever witnessed from an establishment. I have NEVER had a bad experience there and tell everyone I know who enjoys wine to come to a Peltzer with us. A few of my family members were so impressed they signed up for memberships as well. Now about the amazing owners! Now I have only met Charlie, but I have only heard great things about the two from customers every time I have visited. Charlie is a wonderful and kind spirit who is literally the cherry on top and reason why my fiancé and I are wanting to choose Peltzer as our wedding venue summer of 2022! Last week while a girlfriend and I were visiting I had a flat tire in the parking lot and AAA was going to be about 2 hours before getting there. Charlie spotted us trying to change the spare ourselves. He drove down, with a personal jack, and had our tire changed in two minutes. I tried to give him the cash I had in my wallet and he refused. At that moment I realized that Peltzer is the family oriented/spirited, kind and loving environment in which we’ve made so many memories in the last year bringing friends and family, that I went back inside and signed up for information about their wedding venue services. Overall this winery is such an amazing atmosphere, whether you’re planning on just visiting, signing up for a membership, or contemplating using Peltzer as their wedding destination. DO IT. They are one of the many small businesses worth the support! To the owners and staff of Peltzer... thank you for all that you do for your...
Read moreVery disappointed with our experience today. We have always enjoyed the pumpkin patch (minus a few rude teenage employees) so thought our experience at the ice rink would be similar. We were the fourth party to arrive around 2:30 with only one person checking people in and one person collecting IDs for skates. With things running so slow we finally made it onto the ice sometime after 3:00. Returning skates was also a bit of a nightmare as they once again did not have enough people working and the gentleman returning IDs either doesn’t know how to spell or could not hear what anyone was saying. After our allotted time on the rink we decided to let the kids continue to play outside. While playing around the train one of the kiddos had a glass (Christmas) bulb shatter in his hand. Obviously not a safe place for kids so we decided to move up to the food truck but quickly noticed there was not a single heater around. Being a Friday night we were not allowed to eat up top outside the Crush House where all the heaters were and although there were multiple empty tables they refused to bring a heater down by the food truck. It was a cold evening and we had seven young children with us. Refusing to bring a heater down by the food truck with picnic tables was completely unacceptable!! A combination of terrible ownership (Charlie Peltzer) and even worse management, ruined...
