Temecula Clay — Attraction in Temecula

My YSL glasses were stolen at this establishment. Soon after leaving (46 minutes to be exact) I realized I left my glasses. I called over 5x that night because I was aware they had one more class and started calling the next day up until they closed when they finally answered. I was informed they had cameras but couldn’t see glasses. I assumed it was talking to the owner but she said she would send out a group message. I followed up the next day and spoke with someone else and they told me that there were no cameras and she never received a text about missing glasses. Sounds like they were stolen by one of the workers. I have footage of wearing my glasses in the establishment and footage of them being taken off.

Now on to the actual class, it was poorly organized and I think others would agree.

Pros: Lots of laughs with your group and the lady did seem genuine

Cons: It was rushed. We booked a two hours beginning class and were rushed in order to end 30 minutes early to clean up. Not enough help: There was 1 lady trying to help 10 beginners create 2 pieces. It would be my recommendation to reduce it to 1 piece and add another person who is helping with the class. We were a team of 4 and 2 of them left with only 1 piece due to rushing. Several others in the group were in the same position and made the same comments.

My brother absolutely loved it and helped several people in the group but due to the whole experience being rushed, unsupported, and instead of spending the additional 30 minutes working on the piece to clean, and of course stolen glasses, I do not plan on returning. The other day I was watching videos of a YouTuber called Amii Ceramics making her own ceramic pots, adding her own unique designs and breezing through the process of making them. It sparked an interest in me, and I immediately went to search for local pottery studios to learn from. Temecula Clay was the first one to pop up, and I was so excited about finding one nearby that I booked the next session for adults right away. When the day came, I was groggy and wondering if I should reschedule but my mom pushed me to go because she knew it would be fun. So, I got my coffee and toast and headed over.

Immediately when I walked in I was enveloped by a blanket of peace and heavily inspired by the ceramics that were set on the shelves. I remember putting on my apron and getting all giddy about what I was going to attempt to make, gaining inspiration from others who were taking the same class. There were four other people in the class besides me, making the session very personal and intimate, allowing enough attention to be given to all students individually by the teacher.

The woman who taught the class was so helpful and patient. I was nervous that if I messed up too much I’d be wasting time and product, but she was so kind and would grab me more clay to keep working at with no judgement! I got two bowls out of the class, and am looking forward to the next one to try and make a plate! HIGHLY recommend...

Thought this was a great place till I received my items back . The class was okay , not a great set up for the class but not the point of this review . So my husband went to pickup our 4 items we made that were all supposed to be glazed with our chosen colors. So my husband just pick up the bag handed to him with our names and each item wrapped . He said thanks and left . He wanted to wait till I got home from work for both of us to unwrap being that this was a date night to celebrate our anniversary. Unpacked it all to find that one item was not painted making the item unused. My husband called the next day and they said sorry but nothing we can do . Then said well sir you should have checked them before you left . Not sure how that would have changed anything . Like we went home and chipped off the paint . Not sure what the end goal was to say that . We paid over $100 and received our items not only shifted , as in our cups were round when we left them but received them a bit oval and 1 item not even painted .
