Southern Palms Shopping Center — Attraction in Tempe

I always have a hard time with places that let employees smoke out front in an area you have to pass to enter. Our family has asthma so it makes it hard to shop. At my most recent donation the employee broke the flat screen TV as he was getting it out of the back of my van and then told me I had to stay and take it because it’s “too old”. First of all the employee should’ve never attempted to remove the TV from my van if he thought he couldn’t do it. Secondly if the TV was too old they should’ve been able to tell from looking at it in the van. They got mad because I said I’m not taking the TV back you broke it and you have a dumpster right there, you can throw it away and I drove off. I always have a guilty conscious donating to Goodwill, especially this location because they sell things of extremely low quality at higher prices in comparison to other locations, but now I will just take my things elsewhere to donate where they will be appreciate and donated to...

Great & easily accessible plaza to visit for food, clothes, hair care, health care etc. You have Sprouts market, GNC, Sally's Beauty Supply, Outback steakhouse house, Chase bank and a Goodwill just to name several places available in the plaza but there is quite a bit more to offer in there and around this intersection of Southern and McClintock. Across the street to the SW corner there is a Walgreens and Discount tire. Mid K has amazing customer service by one lady in particular. I Ithink she may own it. She's been there a long time. But the prices are fairly comparable to other stores and the other employees are polite but not as helpful or as friendly. Safeway is Safeway. Higher prices but okay store. Mandy's isn't the best I've had but it's still pretty good. The other Phoenix location was much better. Not sure if it's still open. This location is like a box of chocolates though.
