Iāve had so many problems with to go orders a lot of bad steaks that were 1/2 fat literally.. I added 2 photos of it but theyāre pending still.. itās upsetting bc Ive never experienced that eating inside, it really comes across like they just donāt care about the to go orders at all, gotta be so bad for buisness, Iāve had so many really big problems.. they do this strange thing where they get your card, then bring it back.. then, they go get your food, so Iām waiting for 3 trips for no reason? The best I can tell they do that so they can look at your tip and give you poor service if u donāt give them what they deem to be enough, which is pretty ridiculous since all they do is walk food out to your car.. but there seems to be a connection there from what Iāve seen since they started doing that.. the worst part is that I usually give them a tip based on the last time I was there bc I canāt tell from a bag how well the food was prepared, so theyāre basically just ensuring they get a bad tip and itās totally on them.. and it helps nobody.. also Im a big sauce person and I always make a really big deal on the phone about things like steak sauce, ketchup, extra ranch with my salad and bread with two butters, but they always forget almost everything, the worst part is that I go out of my way to ask the server when I first pull up AND when they bring me my food, they almost always say, I think so.. which obviously means even after I asked 3 times they still didnāt bother to look, & I usually end up having to look through the whole bag and the wait out there and like yell to some other waitresses coming to serve another customer which usually takes so long that my food gets cold waiting, then I have to go through and ask for like 5 or 6 things Iāve already asked them about way too many times, and they ALWAYS take a long time and then come out with only like half of what I asked for.. youād think that they would understand that when u pay $50 for a steak your not gonna wanna eat the steak and fries and salad with no condiments.. itās not a small thing.. and they would never do that if I ordered inside and their tip counted on it! infact Iāve basically been forced to go inside bc itās pretty clear that thereās some major problems with to go orders, and I very rarely have problems with almost anything when I sit and eat.. one of the worst problems Iāve had is when I got my new Ford Fusion, my first nice new car ever and 2 weeks after buy it I went here and they put my steak and fries in the paper bag upside down and steak grease leaked ALL over my brand new seats.. I was totally devastated!! Iāve never been able to get the stain out and it makes me so upset when I look at it! Thereās big holes in the top of the container so they should absolutely know what a big deal that would be.. itās especially upsetting to me bc It seems to be a very passive aggressive or at the very least lazy thing thatās going on, and from my experiences inside the restaurant they seem very capable of taking and orders and getting them correct, so one order you would think should especially be easy enough, especially after 3 or 4 reminders, but I literally canāt remember ever not running into big issues ordering āto goā.. I payed a stain removal expert to get the grease stain out and it was supposed to be $200 but after throwing everything at it he had he was barely able to make a dent in it at all and was really surprised and basically just gave it to me for free, he felt really bad after I told him the story about my first new car bc it looks so bad and itās all over the passenger seat still.. I feel like I never got to enjoy my new car bc of this incident and itās left me really upset and disappointed, the owner has his name above the door to the inside and seems to take a lot of pride in this location, I very much doubt heād be ok with knowing about all my bad experiences here, especially bc to any waiter they should be very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKudos to the team at Outback, especially the manager (Jim), for providing us with a wonderful experience early Sunday evening (9/24/23). We popped in around 5pm; firstly because I had a craving for red meat, secondly to honor our departed parents' 68th wedding anniversary. It had been a long time since our last visit to Outback, which means there were some new items on the menu.
The second we approached the podium, Jim exuberantly welcomed us, and the hostess beside him seated us immediately. Within seconds our server (Ivy) reached our table with waters, followed shortly after with their bread.
The Sydney 'shrooms were flavored perfectly, plus they came out hot. The bartender brought us our drinks since Ivy was busy (kudos to the bartender for stepping up!).
We ordered a couple cocktails to toast the folks (smoked bourbon & orange something and Huckleberry Hooch Moonshine). The bourbon was so smooth and the moonshine was tasty going down.
Jim popped by our tables a couple times, asking how things were going. He was such a personable and outgoing guy, his welcoming vibe put & kept smiles on our faces. The prime rib and Filet Sheila were excellent.
We "lost" Ivy for a bit towards the end of the meal, but it did begin to get busier. There was a table beside us that went five minutes w/o anyone approaching their table. Jim had just delivered food to another table in our area, I flagged him down to say something about the ignored table (I didn't want the customers to give a bad review for being ignored!), he was gushing his thanks. He immediately dropped off his empty tray & approached the customers, apologizing profusely for the wait.
Dessert was the caramel cookie skillet. Oh. Em. Gee. Mouthwatering!
If you haven't checked out Outback, or it has been awhile, give the Tempe Southern Ave....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have dined here hundreds of times and until last Monday night I have never had a complaint. 5 of us were celebrating a friend's birthday. The place was busy, and understaffed. We all had water, two had mixed drinks. I unwrapped my silverware to find two stained forks and a dirty knife. I asked the waitress for a new set when she came back with the bread and to take our order. The salad came out next, 10 minutes later. My friend gave me one of her forks to eat it with. It consisted of some lettuce, one cherry tomato and 1/2 lb. of shredded cheese and a teaspoonful of dressing. About 20 minutes later or meals arrived. My steak was perfectly done but I still had no knife to cut it and my potato was half cooked. The birthday girl ordered a baked sweet potato which was charred beyond belief and so shriveled you couldn't even scoop any of it out of the shell. Her salmon was 1/2 the size of the other person who ordered it and was WHITE, not pink. The waitress asked if she wanted a new potato, and then sent the manager over when my friend complained about the salmon, which she said didn't taste right. He told us all how unusually busy they were and offered a discount on her meal. She opted for a new meal. A waiter came with the new sweet potato 5 minutes later, and the salmon came 5 minutes after that. I never got my own knife but luckily another friend had ordered shrimp, and didn't need her knife. She never got sauce for her shrimp and ended up eating a few and taking the rest home. We had dessert and paid the check and left. This one incident won't stop me from going there but I hope the service and the food is...
