This past Saturday was the most humiliating day of my life! I was approached by the manager on duty as someone who should not have been in the store. Apparently, I looked like a shoplifter that was previously in the store a few days ago and had come back on that day. Unfortunately, the timing could not have been worse. I was politely asked to leave and when I questioned the reason I was reassured that I was the shoplifter. After about a minute, it became apparent that a mistake had been made against me. The manager and eventually upper management apologized to me over and over about the mistaken identity. They offered an additional discount on my purchases which I accepted. It was the least they could do because they could not replace the humiliation. I do plan on contacting the corporate offices because there was an obvious breakdown in communication and not an accurate following of policy/protocol when it involves theft. Oh yeah, I’m a black man coming to spend my hard earned money at their business and since the real shoplifter was also a black man, I guess they/someone felt as if we...
Read moreI (Hispanic Male) walk in with a pair of shoes that have a sensor on them and need it off and I get asked if I have the receipt so they can take it off. I thought that was weird because I walked in with them but I showed my receipt and asked the lady why she asked me for it to which she responded “I’m not saying you steal but they steal around here”. I thought ok but I walked in with them. It wasn’t a big deal until a white man walks in with the same issue and he was greeted with a smile and a “oh a sensor on a shoe, let me get that off for you”. He did not get asked for a receipt like I (Hispanic male) did. So Nike, what’s the difference in the two situations because I only see one and...
Read moreI've been shopping this location for more than a decade, and the store is always clean and organized. I'm especially a fan of the back wall clearance items where you can usually take an additional 30% off the lowest ticketed price. I'm a size 11 and have never had any problem finding my size in most footwear. This is my family's premier choice for purchasing running shoes. Staff is always helpful and courteous. The only time where you have issues finding items is usually the week before back to school and the weeks leading up to Christmas. The rest of the time great selection of shoes. On average I spend less than $50 per...
