Texarkana Museums System — Attraction in Texarkana

Visited the Texarkana Regional History museum on Stateline road. Gal at the front desk was awesome! It's a small museum, interesting collection of memorabilia regarding Scott Joplin. Second floor is devoted to local history. Many of the displays were poorly lit making it a challenge to read labels. Most of the stand alone exhibits had information labels low on the display case requiring me to aquat to read the information.

Glad I went but probably...

I was there to see the inmate artwork exhibit. I have a friend who has some paintings in the exhibit. The entire staff was very kind and personable. The director came upstairs and spoke with me. She was very nice and is interested in helping the inmates with their art. She showed me around the exhibit and told me to feel free to check out the rest of the museum. I couldn’t have asked for a better visit and I hope to return the next time...

The people here were so kind and shared a lot of fun facts about their town! The museum was enjoyable for my whole family. A charming stop...
