The docent was amazing!! I’ve been to every historical home from the castles of Europe to the Biltmore. I did my homework on this place. From the dates of the first of door knobs and the internal latching system 1878, but made it very clear the ones in her beloved Ace were 1885 or later. This young lady made the tour comfortable for my mother. She carried a chair from room to room for us. She made the house come alive!! The Draughon Room… the gas light flicker. They taught the scouts about the Caddo Indians – the Native American Culture from our area. They let the scouts learn about the history, dwellings and traditions. The backyard is large enough for the ceremony and the reception, the trees come down low enough that you can decorate them with lights and create a very pretty backdrops. The billing itself is very photogenic for pictures and has a very nice walkway for the bridal party to come down on. The parking is good for a smaller scale wedding.
