Playground is great for smaller kids. Big, stand-alone slide is fun for all. One covered pavillion area (get there early). A couple of picnic tables and benches scattered around the play area. Swing set has 2 regular swings and 2 baby swings. Men and women's bathroom access. Drinking fountain. Lots of grassy areas for picnicking or a game of football. Some shaded areas. Deeper into the park, you'll find a bridge that leads the way to the nature walking trail. Small, but adaquate. Trail has a great lookout over the creek. Lots of shade, but also lots of puddles after it rains. Make sure you have plenty of bug spray in warmer climate. Limited parking lot (only 7 spots available), but you can easily park on the side...

This park has lots of shady trails, though sometimes they have fallen trees across them and mosquitoes are bad even when itâs dry. I saw a baby copperhead snake there today on a trail, so be careful.
The playground is pretty good, though the dropoffs at the bottoms of slodes are too high, and the swings are too far off the ground, so probably there has been quite a bit of erosion. There are lots of sidewalks that are accessible, though the playground area is mostly mulch.    Read moreThis is a nice little park. It does have very limited parking though. If you go on the trails, wear big spray!!! We had a bunch of horse flies mess with us and had to fight them off with a stick. Other than that, the experience was awesome. It made for a good laugh later though. There are restrooms, which is nice. Itâs a nice little spot for kids too because of the different areas they can play on.
