I have been to many different paint & sip experiences. This by far was my least favorite and I would not recommend to others just because there are so many better options across the state. First off, they only give you 2 brushes. They do not have an outline or small brush. This makes it very hard to get thin detail lines for those who are inexperienced AND there were many complaints across the entire room about this. Second, if you are put with your back up to the wall, the lighting is not good. In painting where you are using different shades of grey/white, every shade looks exactly the same. You must either move around the room or just hope that you are getting it right (which is what I did). This also was a complaint amongst the other painters who were placed in these seats against the wall. Lastly, I feel like either the time was not used appropriately for instruction OR the painting was too detailed for the time allocated. The instructions at the end of the painting time were very rushed and incomplete. The detail lines were not fully instructed where to be placed. The plaid design was rushed when instructed and even changed to a different design for simplification. I tried to finish through the “picture time” but this was still not enough time to complete the painting and was told “there is a pop-in & paint time to finish later but we will have to cut you off now and have you leave”. I understand that you are a business and are trying to get as many groups in a day as possible but maybe you should have a little longer time between classes. For those of us who do not live locally, this is not a feasible thing to drive completely across town to pop-in to complete a project that most all in the room did not completely finish. And there would not be further instruction given that was not even given...
Read moreI’m a huge fan of Painting with a Twist and have been using their services for three years. Unfortunately, OKC, I guess is different than others I have used in other states. I was unable to make it to a class two weeks ago and I called to see if I could pick up another time today. I was informed that I couldn’t since I didn’t call 24 hours in advance. And wouldn’t not be reimbursed or refunded! I’ve never had this happen to me and I’m a little disappointed that they couldn’t compromise but were gracious enough to keep my money! Buyer beware! I will not return and won’t recommend this particular studio. I will escalate this to a corporate level though.
Added note, I purchased this the evening prior to this painting. A twenty four hour cancellation would not have been acceptable since it was less than 24 hours away. So, thanks for pointing out your policy online. Still doesn’t change the fact I’ve lost money and it wouldn’t have killed you to compromise!! And if you’re going to be so firm on this policy then you shouldn’t allow the website to take any additional seats and again...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience & the staff was AMAZING despite our major tardiness. My bride had a dream evening & Painting With A Twist was a HUGE part of that. Our painting instructor was fun, fast, & patient, her good humor helped her & us as well. She was very clear with my party about the painting but also our new time frame we were to be in. She offered help & compliments as we went. The man behind the bar was friendly & helpful, what a great smile BTW Mr. The manager made sure things moved quickly but not rushed when my party was 20+ mins late. There was no “scene” between her and our instructor. They all worked together to get us going & out of there in a timely manner but with no vibes of “well you were late” even though we were.
Everyone said it was “so much fun” , asked “Why haven’t I done this before?”, & had talk of the excitement of wanting to do this again. We will be back. Thanks for...
