Village Plaza Shopping Center — Local services in The Village

There's really nothing quite like getting to visit area centers which have been booming centers in the past and then get a shot in the arm to be revitalized, sometimes with stuff you never imagined was going to be in a mall, like a church or even foreign icecream and snack shops. Everyone is very friendly here, and they all are great at customer service. They never, ever make you pay to park and there is typically little or no wait at check out. They are quite good at asking what you need or if you want something they do not have, sometimes it is so very popular nobody can get that one thing. I think this area would do well to have a thrift shop like GOODWILL here, as there are many people who like this kind of shopping and it is simply not available in this area. This is a busy area, with laundry, sno cone sales, gas and liquor store, and many kinds of other businesses very close by. I hope the EMBARK OK bus service considers putting a loop thru BRITTON ROAD and then THE OLD BRITTON over to the QUAIL SPRINGS MALL area and the BIG WALMART and TARGET AND THEN THE HOME DEPOT and LOWES, because some stuff you just can't get in these local shops, but having a real hardware store with a full plant and garden shop as well as home repair stuff you can duck in and out of in a hot minute is...

This chain has some plusses and problems. Frequently I have found discounts about two weeks before a holiday and some cheap, traditional candy brands, clothes and things I hadn't seen anywhere in years. I often find there's no staff to ring me up when I want to go at some locations, and friendly staff who know the stock and further discount items which is fine by me. Store staff at some locations don't seem to walk the property for hazards before opening or between shifts. I often only shop here as a last resort, because of published incidents of staff, volunteers and students being put in harm's way. This store has many area locations and they are often fully stocked when others aren't in the area. This location gets a 'C' for issues of concern noted, but an 'A' for location, selection and prompt staff help when...

Long line. No cashier. Asked man who was stocking if anyone else was there that could help us twice. Final got a cashier on each register. Did not speak to me. Just kept working on her hand held device. Did not even acknowledge my presence or anyone else's. Told man who was stocking they aren't doing anything. Then I left my merchandise and walked out. This store often has no employee in sight. Have to wait for a cashier. Store is a mess. Can barely get thru the store because of all the boxes of merchandise every where. Actually does not deserve...
