I recently discovered an absolute gem of a coffee shop called Mattie's Coffee Company, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. It's a haven for coffee enthusiasts like myself, and I'm thrilled to share my experience.

First and foremost, the coffee at Mattie's is simply divine. They have truly mastered the art of roasting their own coffee beans, and the result is a cup of pure bliss. Each sip is rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. Whether you prefer a bold espresso, a velvety latte, or a classic drip coffee, Mattie's has it all. The care and attention put into each batch of coffee is evident, and it's no wonder that their brews are so exceptional.

But Mattie's isn't just about the coffee; they've also created a menu that will satisfy your taste buds in every way. My personal favorite is their breakfast sandwiches. The combination of fluffy eggs, savory meats, and perfectly toasted bread is an absolute delight. It's the ideal way to start your day, and I find myself craving it even when it's not breakfast time. Trust me, once you try one of their sandwiches, you'll understand why they're such a hit.

One of the things that sets Mattie's Coffee Company apart is the owner's warm and welcoming demeanor. The owner is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about each customer's experience. They go above and beyond to ensure that every visit to the coffee shop is memorable. Their passion for coffee and dedication to providing excellent service shines through, and it creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back for more.

In fact, I'm not the only one who is smitten with Mattie's. My colleagues and I are willing to drive all the way from Edmond just to indulge in their coffee and sandwiches. It has become our go-to spot for a quick pick-me-up or a relaxed meeting. The fact that our employees have also started frequenting Mattie's speaks volumes about the quality of their offerings and the inviting ambiance they've cultivated.

If you're a coffee lover searching for an extraordinary coffee experience, look no further than Mattie's Coffee Company. Their delicious, expertly roasted coffee, mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches, and exceptional customer service make it a must-visit destination. Prepare to be hooked from the first sip and bite. Trust me, it's worth every mile traveled...

This was originally a three star review but I dropped it to one due to the review from the owner.

When coffee has the power to make a person give birth to something unholy out their rear end, the toilets better work.

I want to love this place. The service is usually excellent and the food is fantastic. But the bathrooms are unacceptable.

In the men's bathroom, I have had to unclog the toilet, get a bucket of water from the front counter to do a manual flush, and just not use the toilet and instead fight for my life by preventing the backdoor floodgates from opening up.

Usually I get help with my plumbing adventures, but since they were short staffed today I basically got told off. I might revisit this place in a few months but I cannot justify regularly coming here anymore.

Edit: changing review from three to one stars due to the nasty review from the owner. Funnily enough I never even used the toilet today (it was broken before I used it. I had the courtesy to check it).

The reply below is a stark contrast to the 'the toilet hasn't been working for a month' response I was told in person today, and is instead trying to paint me as some kind of villain.

Your toilet cannot be broken for a month and then claim that I'm somehow the only individual who can't work the thing.

Would you rather have customers not ask you for a plunger and leave you to fix it at the end of your shift? Because that's the track you're on.

What a...

If you enjoy coffee or tea itself, Mattie's is not the place for you. If you enjoy overly-sugared drinks that hint at coffee or tea, Starbucks is probably a better option.

Recently grabbed a cold brew made with one of their house blends. The cold brew was bitter and astringent, with no virtues itself. Given the implausibility of over-extracting during the brewing process, the beans must have been scorched during roasting.

We also grabbed an iced matcha ordered with regular simple. The matcha was so sweet that (no exaggeration), after mixing 1/3 with one I then made at home, it was still cloying. It was also taupe colored, not green (though it did not contain coffee). There was clearly rose water, lavender, or some heavy-handed floral element in the syrup to boot, which was an unwelcome addition. I hope (but don't find it likely) that this was a barista mistake. I am pro dessert drinks--happy to have them when the mood strikes. This was revolting, however.

I judge the merits of the drinks on their own. Sidebar: the shop half of Matties is filled with that prosperity gospel, charismatic name-it-and-claim-it brand of self help literature which sells itself as wholesome Christian teaching. That will always trigger the moral disgust response in me, like seeing a cockroach in the corner.

I hoped Mattie's would be a solid neighborhood shop. To each their own, but this is one small business I will...

Real men do indeed get a rose vanilla cream cold brew. Along with a plethora of other items. I personally tried both cream cheese filled scones, one lemon glaze, and the other cranberry with white chocolate. Personally, the lemon glazed one is superior. However, everyone has different taste buds. This is different from a traditional scone, but this sweet version will have you asking for seconds. Do ask for it warm. I highly recommend the "Everything" on an English muffin. Ham, everything seasoning, cream cheese. Now I couldn't place if the cheese used was Swiss or Gruyere, but it was still an excellent mouthful of flavor. If you don't enjoy ham, I would still urge you to try it. If you're more of a morning toast kind of person and you enjoy avocado, do try their take on avocado toast with bacon, tomato, and balsamic glaze. I do wonder how roasted tomatoes would add to the flavor. It is flavorful regardless and avoids the common pitfall of too much avocado that some breakfast places fall into. I do enjoy the lack of potatoes as an option and keep the feel of a classy Cafe. The restroom was something else it felt like an art installation with the sink away from the wall. I hope they do keep its charm. If you are doing a Route 66 stop and want breakfast do stop here as this is a great place for good food in the Cafe, and on the go.

Great iced cold brew. We also picked up some wonderful paintings here by local artists. They have a book store in the back and plenty of seating.

Mattie’s was beautiful!! Their shopping side had many unique finds and beautiful mugs! I ordered a County Fair Latte and my boyfriend ordered a Mocha Frappe. We also got a Gluten Free Cinnamon Muffin and Ham and Cheese Croissant. The beverages were fantastic and had phenomenal flavor. The Gluten Free Cinnamon Muffin was the closest thing I’ve had to a cinnamon roll in a very long time! It was delicious and the texture was perfection! The Ham and Cheese Croissant was extremely large which justified the price. He said it was very good and worth coming back for! The atmosphere was very light and airy! Many plants and so much natural light through the windows! The art that was on display was beautiful as well! We came in to do our weekly bible study and it was the perfect space for it, it was quiet and allowed us to have some privacy! The barista was extremely friendly and helpful! She was extremely social and made the experience very nice! We would 100% recommend Mattie’s!
