I recently discovered an absolute gem of a coffee shop called Mattie's Coffee Company, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. It's a haven for coffee enthusiasts like myself, and I'm thrilled to share my experience.
First and foremost, the coffee at Mattie's is simply divine. They have truly mastered the art of roasting their own coffee beans, and the result is a cup of pure bliss. Each sip is rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. Whether you prefer a bold espresso, a velvety latte, or a classic drip coffee, Mattie's has it all. The care and attention put into each batch of coffee is evident, and it's no wonder that their brews are so exceptional.
But Mattie's isn't just about the coffee; they've also created a menu that will satisfy your taste buds in every way. My personal favorite is their breakfast sandwiches. The combination of fluffy eggs, savory meats, and perfectly toasted bread is an absolute delight. It's the ideal way to start your day, and I find myself craving it even when it's not breakfast time. Trust me, once you try one of their sandwiches, you'll understand why they're such a hit.
One of the things that sets Mattie's Coffee Company apart is the owner's warm and welcoming demeanor. The owner is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about each customer's experience. They go above and beyond to ensure that every visit to the coffee shop is memorable. Their passion for coffee and dedication to providing excellent service shines through, and it creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back for more.
In fact, I'm not the only one who is smitten with Mattie's. My colleagues and I are willing to drive all the way from Edmond just to indulge in their coffee and sandwiches. It has become our go-to spot for a quick pick-me-up or a relaxed meeting. The fact that our employees have also started frequenting Mattie's speaks volumes about the quality of their offerings and the inviting ambiance they've cultivated.
If you're a coffee lover searching for an extraordinary coffee experience, look no further than Mattie's Coffee Company. Their delicious, expertly roasted coffee, mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches, and exceptional customer service make it a must-visit destination. Prepare to be hooked from the first sip and bite. Trust me, it's worth every mile traveled...

When coffee has the power to make a person give birth to something unholy out their rear end, the toilets better work.
I want to love this place. The service is usually excellent and the food is fantastic. But the bathrooms are unacceptable.
In the men's bathroom, I have had to unclog the toilet, get a bucket of water from the front counter to do a manual flush, and just not use the toilet and instead fight for my life by preventing the backdoor floodgates from opening up.
Usually I get help with my plumbing adventures, but since they were short staffed today I basically got told off. I might revisit this place in a few months but I cannot justify regularly coming here anymore.
Edit: changing review from three to one stars due to the nasty review from the owner. Funnily enough I never even used the toilet today (it was broken before I used it. I had the courtesy to check it).
The reply below is a stark contrast to the 'the toilet hasn't been working for a month' response I was told in person today, and is instead trying to paint me as some kind of villain.
Your toilet cannot be broken for a month and then claim that I'm somehow the only individual who can't work the thing.
Would you rather have customers not ask you for a plunger and leave you to fix it at the end of your shift? Because that's the track you're on.
What a...

Recently grabbed a cold brew made with one of their house blends. The cold brew was bitter and astringent, with no virtues itself. Given the implausibility of over-extracting during the brewing process, the beans must have been scorched during roasting.
We also grabbed an iced matcha ordered with regular simple. The matcha was so sweet that (no exaggeration), after mixing 1/3 with one I then made at home, it was still cloying. It was also taupe colored, not green (though it did not contain coffee). There was clearly rose water, lavender, or some heavy-handed floral element in the syrup to boot, which was an unwelcome addition. I hope (but don't find it likely) that this was a barista mistake. I am pro dessert drinks--happy to have them when the mood strikes. This was revolting, however.
I judge the merits of the drinks on their own. Sidebar: the shop half of Matties is filled with that prosperity gospel, charismatic name-it-and-claim-it brand of self help literature which sells itself as wholesome Christian teaching. That will always trigger the moral disgust response in me, like seeing a cockroach in the corner.
I hoped Mattie's would be a solid neighborhood shop. To each their own, but this is one small business I will...
