My recent visit to L'Arc Pâtisserie in OKC presented a mixed experience. While the limited hours—open just three days a week, four hours a day—do create a sense of exclusivity, I do wish there were more opportunities to visit. Upon entering, I noticed a unique aroma, which was a bit surprising. However, I was visiting with six companions, and we were determined to explore the menu. We decided to purchase two of every dessert available, eager to sample the craftsmanship we had heard so much about. The artistry of each dessert was truly beautiful. The craftsmanship was exceptional, and it was clear that considerable time and talent went into creating these works of art. The intricate airbrushing and meticulous designs were stunning and made each dessert a visual masterpiece. Despite their gorgeous appearance, the flavors didn't quite match up to the same high standard. Some of the ingredients seemed to have soured, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the taste. While the fresh strawberry in the strawberry dessert was delicious, the accompanying cream wasn't as fresh as I had hoped. The mango dessert was particularly challenging for our table to finish. The orange and chocolate options were more enjoyable. While the aesthetics of the desserts were truly magnificent, the flavor profile left much to be desired. At $15 per dessert, I would have hoped for a flavor experience that was as extraordinary as the presentation. I only wish there was more selection to try and take pictures of, as the artistry was a joy to behold. The presentation of the desserts is a true testament to the skill of the pâtissier. I believe that with a bit more attention to the flavor profile, L'Arc Pâtisserie has the potential to become a truly special...
Read moreWORTH THE WAIT!! SO PERFECT! In every way possible. I cannot find the words to describe the amount of appreciation, care and respect these individuals give to their customers! Today there was a heat advisory and we arrived and hour early and were THIRD IN LINE! To wait until 12:00 p.m. for them to open. This wonderful man (just assuming he is the spouse of the Chef/Owner) had gone out of his way bought and passed out water bottles for everyone waiting in line while being very kind and apologetic for us having waiting in the heat. Chef came out a few minutes before open to greet us and also apologize for the wait and heat. One of the Chefs let the first couple people near the door know the options available for the day. Once they had officially opened they personally opened the door and welcomed us in. Letting each and everyone of know their was a new item made (Bear) the ingredients and made each persons experience personable! The man who had passed out waters had been at the register and he also let us know the ingredients of our desserts (we purchased the Strawberry and Mango) $13.50 each. And beside him he had a container of the filling he used and showed each and every one of us the ingredients and how there was no sugar or artificial sweetener all natural products being used to make the desserts! Worth the price and...
Read moreFor my husband's birthday we went here by someone's suggestion. Our choices were limited for what was ready but we enjoyed what we did get. The staff were super kind. The lattes were delicious and artfully presented as well. My favorite desert was the mango.
The only reason I deducted a star is we felt confused by something: we wanted scones (I love English scones) and were told we couldn't have them when we asked because they take an advanced notice to prepare. We were told if we want them we must call the day before so that they may prepare. A week later we called a day in advance to request as originally directed and were told, again, we still cannot get them because they are too busy on weekends and booked so they would need a week in advance.
We were so disappointed because when we asked the first time, it was on a Saturday and were told a day in advance, not a week...very confusing. If unable/unwilling to make something or it takes a week notice, this should be clearly communicated and posted. While we really enjoyed our first time here it may be our last visit as well. Unfortunate but just not a fan of how that was handled.
Furthermore, when we were told this, it felt like we were being rushed to get off the phone. Just didn't feel like a...
