Not even 1 star. Came in to change out a controller. Brought the wrong receipt. While dealing with rep, the manager "Ashley" rudely interrupts the conversation to tell me, I would have to go the store where I bought it. I asked if they check my account to find the purchase in which she refused! Only to keep repeating that I would have to go to the store in which it was bought. Uncomfortable wasn't the word considered I wasn't dealing with her and she ignored me as the next customer in line initially. Finally after a brief shouting match "in front of other customers waiting for assistance I should add" the professional rep did check my account. Turned out that the store i bought it from put the wrong information in. No problem. I left and went to the next closest store in Magnolia in which the guy, looked it up, diagnosed the issue and had me out in less than 5 minutes! I plan on calling corporate, especially when I found out that she was the actual manager and escalated a non issue to the point of hostility! No reason for it and she should NOT be a manager which such terrible customer service skills! Didn't even want to look up my account! In addition to this, I actually had been calling the store since 2pm or about 7 times with no answer just to see her "Ashley" using the phone while I was at the store!! I will be calling until I speak with her manager! I've been a customer for over 20 years and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect...
Read moreMy kid asked for two things from Santa, one of which being a PS4 Minecraft game. This store was one of the few that had it although they informed me that it was their display. All good, it was new, no problem. I went and picked it up and got ready for the big day. Christmas arrives, kids come down, see that Santa delivered on his promises and chaos ensues. That is, until my daughter opens the case and sees that there was no disc. The look of disappointment on her face was heartbreaking. Thinking this was a great opportunity to explain that sometimes even Santa messes up, I promised to reach out to the big guy to try to get it remedied. I called Gamestop on the 26th to discuss it and the lady who answered was aghast that it happened. She assured me they had the disc and i could come oick it up. I went to Gamestop on the 27th to pick up the disc and the gentleman that helped barely uttered any words, no apology and just stared blankly at me when he finally found the disc. I would think that upon realizing that they screwed up a kids Christmas somewhat that they would be somewhat reticent and offer an apology in person. I'm very disappointed in that gentleman's handling of the situation. I'll be utilizing other Gamestops...
Read moreGot the worst service from this store. i ordered a video game and it was delivered to my home. It was in a pre-owned case, although I ordered a new game, and it did not work. I returned it to the store for a refund and was told I would have to take store credit. "No, you are forcing me to purchase here, but you don't have the game available to replace so store credit is a waste of time and money." They go on to say it store policy and make us wait 30min while she pretended to call corporate. We noticed she had food on her breath, that she wasn't calling corporate, and demanded a full refund.
