California hippies created this fast-casual burrito joint, which is a credible alternative to Chipotle. Reviewing Freebirds without comparing it to the alternative across the street is hard. Both offer fresh ingredients; Chipotle has higher quality, while Freebirds has more variety. I also find it easier to get a healthier lunch at Freebirds, but both restaurants have very high sodium levels. If you are vegan or vegetarian, Freebirds is an excellent choice. This location, which opened in 2011, has undergone a few iterations and, more recently, had a surface remodel, making it lighter and brighter. As the chain scaled up, it eliminated some more charming aspects, downplaying motorcycles and the Statue of Liberty and eliminating the foil sculptures. The staff has always been friendly, however inconsistent; your meal may vary greatly depending on "who" actually puts it together. This restaurant has always been a bit dirty, especially the single-person bathroom. I was a regular at Freebirds for many years, but the high sodium levels drove me off. While it was a great place to get a cheap, highly customizable, relatively healthy lunch, inflation (or other factors) have changed that proposition; prices have risen. My salad, drink, tax, and tip cost over $18; I still left hungry. I can't see that value so that I won't be back anytime soon. Regardless of my opinion, this...
Read moreNot only was the food and atmosphere amazing but the staff was as well. I told my husband as we sat down that I haven’t received such amazing and intentional customer service in a LONNGG time!! We were so tired from long days at work and we came to Freebirds for something quick. The staff was excellent. They chatted with us about post malone, made burrito recommendations, and were just so fun and bubbly. Reghan specifically stood out to us! She was so kind, quick, yet patient with us and gave a recommendation to put pico on the burrito and it SLAAPPED!! It was so good!! We were there right before closing time and they didn’t make us feel rushed at all. I felt so bad that we were there so late but they didn’t seem to mind! Thank y’all for this great...
Read moreSomething doesn't add up with these guys pricing. Pretty sure they up charge like a mf if you go in the store compared to online orders.
Perfect example, I usually go in and get a Freebird burrito, extra protein, queso, etc. Comes out to about $21.00 give or take. They have a new promotion for their Super Monster which is essentially double maybe even more the size of my regular order. Was under the impression I could only take advantage of it online so I started messing around on the app. Tell me why before using any promo code something that's significally larger than what I get with all the same ingrediants plus a large chips & queso was only $6 to $7 more than what I'm used to paying.
Oh yeah, when I did use the promo code it somehow only...
