What a FUN, educational and entertaining experience! Our family attended the Valentine’s Chocolate Workshop. Master Chocolatier, Sima, took us from the basics (starting with the cacao pod, through the roasting process, to the extraction of different levels of cocoa butter) to the actual making of chocolates. We learned how to heat and correctly temper the chocolate, how to mold pralines and how to roll and coat truffles. She answered all our questions with humor and grace. At the end of the evening, after tasting our creations, we each went home with samples of our delicacies! I highly recommend, not only Dar’s chocolates (which are delicious), but also these fun and informative workshops. There were both familiar and new booths to discover.
One of the new booths is Dar chocolate and who couldn’t savor some tasty, locally made chocolate when walking through the market?
There are countless flavors and not having my phone with me. I wasn’t able to take a photo.
I have to say that just the packaging with the gorgeous artistic colors and designs alone are worth purchasing.
And when I imbibed on a small piece of the chocolate bar, the satin silkyness on my tongue and the exquisite taste were amazing, especially considering I bought a sugar-free bar, hazelnut dark chocolate.
