Beds are comfortable, shower was delightful with complimentary shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash, female bartender that opened on the weekend of Jan 31-Feb 2 2025 was AMAZING (forgot her name though). Counter/ check-in staff was pretty nice. The hot tub looked nice, but a whole family was in there and took it over the whole time I was swimming in the pool; which was not heated. Doesn't say that it's heated online but would've been nice since it's 30-50 degrees out. That family left the room a mess, and it wasn't cleaned up by the next morning when the husband and I went to check out the gym.
NO complimentary breakfast (or buffet like others remembered in previous years) or 24-hour coffee, and you have to pay for the coffee 6a-?11a? Because it's Starbucks branded. They do serve other Starbucks drinks, but when it's just a plain black coffee or coffee with cream and sugar AT A HOTEL you're staying at...unreasonable. The breakfast bar offered a $10 xl breakfast Burrito that the guys said was good, but we went to First Watch instead. They also serve a waffle and couple other options that aren't too appealing; which is why we went somewhere else for breakfast. They have grab and go options like chicken Caeser salad, turkey cheese sandwich, yogurt parfait, fruit cups, which are also more expensive than getting the same thing at a gas station. Didn't read the previous reviews before staying to get a heads up as my husband had a great experience 2 years ago, but I guess with new management comes corners being cut and the economy hiking the prices. Spent $30 on 2 crown and sprite drinks; we also didn't eat dinner there due to prices and the hubby wanted a ribeye from Longhorn. Heard Big Daddy's Burger was delicious and it's a walk across the Plaza. Liquor store is across the highway and I dont know what bathroom supplies cost in the hotel store but I bought ibuprofen through them anyway because I didn't want to walk to a CVS/Walgreens/whatever there is maybe in the Plaza. Seen many posts about dirty sheets and noticed a watermarked blood stain on my sheet but by the time I noticed it, it was already too late. The new bar manager was a complete migraine; telling everyone that there were no fries for burgers and has the AUDACITY to say a bartender cannot have a tip jar to keep HER cash tips in. I'm a bartender as well and have NEVER had to share my tips; we each have separate containers on opposite sides behind the bar; like where the registers are located.
By now, I'm too exhausted to recall the rest. Beds are comfy Shower is NICE with shampoo/conditioner/ bodywash There is lotion, makeup remover pad, bar of soap, single use coffee with 2 creams and 2 sugars. Look at your bedding before you sleep in it in case it's not clean; had a watermark blood stain on my sheet. No complimentary breakfast or coffee Basic breakfast options; $10 burrito, $8 waffle, a sandwhich, and like 3 small options. Starbucks coffee options (the reason regular coffee isn't free) Dinner has ok options as well Things are pricey Staff is pretty nice New bar manager doesn't give full...
Read more9/11/2025 update: if you’ve seen my earlier review on this hotel, you note my rating has changed fairly dramatically. I stay here every other week and for my last 4 visits, the television systems have had terrible video. Pixelated screens, video freezing or blacking out, loss of sound. Each visit I’ve raised this as an issue and been advised maintenance is working on it or they have their provider working on it. I’ve taken video of it and shown it to the front desk. Last night the front desk admitted that many guests were complaining. The tv system is worthless which sucks since for guys like me working here the entertainment system is what I have at night! As much as I like the hotel and even the people, this ongoing issue is causing me to consider other properties. If you are booking a future visit, I’d call the hotel to see if they have resolved the issue before booking.
Original review: I'll start off by stating I'm trying various Marriott properties in the area as I will be visiting this area weekly for the next several months and perhaps years. You can see my other reviews on the Townplace Suites at Flatirons and the Fairfield Inn close to the Delta.
Pluses: I like the location. Lots of dining choices nearby and easy access on/off the main roads to get places. I was upgraded to the top floor due to my Marriott status. Check-in was fast and efficient. Billing has been accurate. Being an elite member with Marriott, I got access to the "Delta Pantry" which has sodas, juices, snacks, etc. I also like the fact the showers have not just the rainfall showerhead, but they also have a handheld nozzle. The hotel also does housekeeping daily, something I've not enjoyed since covid. This is awesome!
Now the downsides which is what has impacted my overall rating. The big item is for two weeks in a row, I've asked the front desk to have the sales manager contact me to discuss a contract rate. In spite of multiple requests, no one has contacted me. I then asked for the GM to contact me. Two days later, still no response. The next two items are minor but are an irritant. You can choose points or a meal voucher which supposedly is good for a breakfast item and a drink. I tried to use my voucher today. The server told me it was good for a $10 food item only. Note there are only two menu items that are ten bucks - everything else is more. So no drink. The Pantry, while cool, is out of diet sodas almost immediately. In spite of contacting the front desk who promised they'd stock more, it has never happened. LOL - 1st world problems I know.
I obviously am not too ticked off since I've booked my next week there. Just wish that what is a good product could easily be a great product if some attention to detail were...
Read moreLocated in a busy area near shops restaurants bars highway and hospital. You will find a place to eat at walking distance. Great entrance and modern decoration big spaces hot tub n pool indoors. I got a double queen small but modern room big tv comfy beds air conditioner tho if you are too sensitive it’s a little loud we didn’t mind it got the room cold n worked . water pressure wow loved it!!! It put me to sleep !!! However if you are traveling with elderly or children the water could get real hot real quick and Becareful with the shower door it slides quick watch your fingers. A lot of outlets to connect every possible device. Guest services I mean .. it could be this one employee thing or not can’t tell but they weren’t as warming and welcoming at check in as they were with people of another skin color. Not saying all the staffing were like that but these employee was obviously not about our ethnicity it felt award cause from being smily and overly communicative to the people check in infront of us to being all stern and cold and not even share with us the same information she did with the other group. We had to ask about pool hrs n location n parking etc some of the information that was automatically and candidly to the other party of lighter complexion anyways I just feel everyone should feel welcomed or at least fake it don’t be too obvious. All we got was reservation name?! I’d n credit card for incidentals.. lots of clicking n typing .. insert card you all set here is your keys mind you we got 1 key she asked the other party how many keys and gave them a verbal tour of the hotel … very a awkward moment. CEO needs to send undercover on every shift and access this issue could lead to discrimination lawsuit or bigger issues. Like I said it was this one staff member we encounter at the front desk unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough to experience everyone but at first impression very...
