First escape room ever for my group of twenty-something friends. We wandered into this place because it was nearby, and it was SO FUN that we literally called back and scheduled another room the same day! Being rather full-of-ourselves, we waltzed in there ready to conquer the mansion room, which was advertised as the hardest challenge available. Boy did we overestimate our ability. Special shoutout to our game master, Brandon, who gave us helpful (but not over explanative) hints. The game masters here really know how to tell when you’re on the right track versus completely clueless. And that came in handy for little things- my group had been wasting time trying to solve a puzzle, not realizing that the essential key to solving the puzzle was an item that we item that we simply hadn’t seen. Being tipped off to those things still allowed us to do the brainwork to solve the equation and get the satisfaction of completing the challenge, and that’s what we found so valuable in how our GMs communicated with us. And that same special shoutout goes to Izzy, who oversaw our 2nd room, the Haunted House. We performed better at this one, partially due to our newfound familiarity with the game structure, but also due to the fact that there was a different pattern of problem solving more commonly used in this room versus our last one. And that was the coolest part in our group’s opinion - both rooms required different types of problem solving. It made it so each set of challenges was fun and novel- not repetitive in any way. Beyond that, the lore and the aesthetics are really dialed to the point where it’s very easy to get immersed in the setting. The fact that both rooms provided such unique settings and stimulated our minds in such different ways is a testament to the game crafting skill of escapology and will ENSURE that we come back to tackle their remaining rooms. The only thing that didnt change? The excellent guidance of our game masters. Brandon, Izzy- you both rock and really augmented our experience. And how could I not shout out Zach, who was sooooo cool to us in making us feel welcome and excited about the whole experience. He made booking extremely easy and was a fantastic liaison for the whole experience. Even Aiden was awesome and he was our first contact when we walked in earlier in the day. Pretty sure everyone who works here kinda rules. Thanks to escapology for giving us a fantastic activity to do with friends. We’ll see you soon!

Great fun! Wonderful details! We did one last week then did 2 more rooms today! We love it! Brandon and Ryder were very helpful and knowledgeable and helped make the experience even more fun! Adding to previous review: we have now done almost all of the rooms and they are all amazing. Today we did Pirates Curse with Ryder and Leina helping us out and it was our favorite room so far! We then stayed and did Haunted House which our son , who is 10 was really nervous about. Aaron and the team really helped us out to make the experience less scary for him so he could still be involved in the solving of the room. Brandon and Leina helped us out with this room too. Everyone who works there are awesome and we have done all the escape rooms in Ventura county and some elsewhere and this staff is the best and most friendly staff of all. Thanks so much and we will be back in 2 weeks to do our last room!

We did the Scooby Doo escape room at Escapology and had such a fun family experience! At first, we had a small issue with our booking, but the management stepped in right away and handled it with care and professionalism. Because of that, the rest of our visit went smoothly, and my family had a wonderful time working together to solve the puzzles. The room design was creative, the Scooby Doo theme was spot-on, and the challenges were engaging for both adults and kids. By the end we were laughing, celebrating, and already talking about which room to try next. Big thanks to the Escapology team for making sure everything turned out so well, we’ll definitely be back!

My friends and I had the BEST time at Escapology, which just opened less than a week ago! You would never know it’s so new because everything ran super smoothly, and the attention to detail in the room was top-notch. The puzzles were challenging but really well thought out, and the whole place has such a fun, immersive vibe. I have to give huge props to Mikayla and Izzy — they absolutely made our experience unforgettable! Me and my friends did the Haunted Mansion room. Izzy and Mikayla were our game host and they set the perfect tone right from the start. They were welcoming, enthusiastic, and explained everything so clearly, which really helped us get into the adventure mindset. Mikayla, our game master, was fantastic at guiding us just enough when we got stuck without giving too much away. She had great timing and kept us motivated throughout the game. Their energy, friendliness, and professionalism made the whole experience even better. You can tell they really love what they do and care about making sure everyone has a great time. If you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do, I highly recommend checking out Escapology! We can’t wait to come back next week to try the Pirate room. Thank you again, Mikayla and Izzy — you two were...

We have seen this room in the making and it has finally opened! My boyfriend and I have done 20+ rooms so we were a little skeptical at first, but as soon as we stepped in and saw the decor, we were sold. We waltzed in hoping to find an available room and were immediately greeted by an employee (whose name we didn’t catch [I’m so sorry!!], but she was very, extremely helpful) since it was our first time at an escapology location. She presented a variety of different options, both kid-friendly and more challenging. We eventually decided to do the scooby doo room since we had 4 kids ages 6-12 with us. She got us into the next available time slot and we had a blast! It was a throwback to our childhood while allowing the kids to figure out the different puzzles and clues. This time, Maya was our game master and helped us make sure we were on the right track throughout the game. When we finished, she was quick to congratulate us and snap some photos of our success. She also informed us on deals and future rooms that we were quick to jump on. We took advantage of the discounts and were able to book a future room thanks to her help. All around, we had a great experience here and will be returning soon with...
