We came all the way from Wichita for the Austin Sensory play time, and absolutely loved it! There were so many different things for kids of all ages and backgrounds, it was amazing! We really loved the indoor and outdoor environment, there were so many kid friendly activities! My son is 13 and Autistic, and a much taller kid. My daughter is 7 and there were still so many things for her to do, my boyfriend and I literally had to split up, the kids were both so excited to see all the displays that they both took off in different directions! We met other parents there, ones who simply understood our kids and their needs, which was absolutely amazing.

We also really loved the interactive exhibits, there were so many, and all over the place. It was sensory heaven for both of my kiddos. There were swings, places they could paint, play with “wind”, ride tricycles around, a wooden boat, a water exhibit outside with kid friendly places to put your feet with “soft” rocks, a giant “lite brite”, little walking paths, even small snacks if you or your littles need a pick me up. The sound garden things there were SO cool and the kids loved being able to make “outside noises” with all the instruments.

I can’t tell you enough how important the Autism sensory play time is, and how much we appreciate it!
