Great little free museum to learn about local history. Included are mementos and videos of the building and its' place in the development of the US missile program, and information on World War II and this area. Of interest is the story of women pilots during the war and the kinds of things they went through. Be sure to watch the video interview from one of them. There are some early missiles, and even stories of local pirates. It doesn't take too long to see everything, and it's worth a side trip while you're in the area.

I’ve been coming to Topsail Beach for years and never thought once to stop by here, I moved here in 04 and never stopped by to see what this place was about. Today changes my mind about the museum, it is well worth the visit, this place has history on the island and the test firing of missiles and more. Great place to visit if it’s raining or you just wanna take a break form the sun. Highly recommended to take the tour it’s free all they ask for is a donation. Lots of history with artifacts. A ++++++++

THIS IS A MUST VISIT. After visiting Topsail Island multiple years, I made my way to the Museum this year. Not disappointed! Kevin greeted me, and gave me a quick overview of the museum. Each station has significant anecdotal history lessons. For those not so historically inclined, you will still find many tidbits about the island interesting. My visit was great but not long - very glad I went. And I left a donation. Don't miss out - visit this place while you are in the area !!

BLUF, for the price of admission (FREE + donations), it's worth checking out.

I finally managed to make it down to the Missiles and More museum. If you're expecting Smithsonian level museum, this is not the place for you. I think the name of the museum is a little misleading. It makes it sound like you're going to be going to some sort of military museum, when reality it's more of a museum about Top Sail that just happens to have info about a very small subset of missiles. I generally love going to military museums, but honestly I found the military aspects of the museum to be the weakest part. It was really fascinating to learn about the pirates and some of the other history...

This was my 3rd time visiting Topsail and never went to this museum. I think it's a must see to learn about Topsail's history. There is a great collection of shells and shark teeth as well. Not just the military history. There is also a great WASP history area. This is not a very big space but packed with lots of things. Even a bit about the pirate history. Please note they have short hours and you need at least 40 min or so to see everything. There is no entrance fee but they take donations so please take some...
