Lake Balboa Park (Van Nuys) is my go to for morning run. This day I decided to switch things up by going to Columbia Park to meet my Brother for a run as well.

I meet my Brother at Columbia mid morning. After chat/warm up, it was time to run and admire Columbia Park and it's scenery.

There are two areas to walk/run at Columbia...Concrete trail or Track/Dirt trail. The design set up is great because you could either walk/run on one trail or blend both concrete/track trail together which is what I did.

As I was running, I was really admiring the scenery throughout. Trees throughout concrete trail and just an open area throughout track trail. Seeing that big blue sky on track trail was humbling. Gorgeous!

There are play areas for kids and benches throughout the park to eat or just sit and soak it in. Columbia Park is in Torrance, CA. About 25 to 40 minute drive from my location depending on traffic.

If you are looking to be a little adventurous or try something out of your comfort zone, give Columbia Park a try. You will not be...

Columbia Park this is one of the nicest cleanest well kept parks that I have been to and I have been going to this park for quite some time it is super large even when it’s crowded there’s so much room! You could reserve tables for birthday parties family reunions graduations there’s plenty of parking all the way around the park that’s how huge it is lots of beautiful trees well-maintained grass a dirt walking trail for exercising restrooms and very friendly people from the community and people that are not from the community so kind pet friendly I would recommend this Park whether you are having a small party or large gathering or even just to walk to get exercise or just kicking the soccer ball or throwing the football around barbecue areas as well as sitting areas The actual slides and playground area for the kids there are several of them going according to age so the littler kids have an opportunity to...

Giant park with lots of open space and grass. A full playground, baseball diamond, two lawn bowling fields, and horseshoe pits. The west side fields are all AYSO soccer fields but are wide open most weekdays.

The bathrooms (two of them) are usually clean, and the city has done a pretty good job of keeping the tweekers away.

There are multiple picnic table sites (you have to reserve them) and bbq grills, too. The decomposed granite walking paths are a total of 1.3 miles. These are maintained pretty well. There are a lot of trees on the east end of the park.

It's a great place to walk your dogs too, you can pretty much be away from other dogs if you wish.

I walk my dog here every day and have never had a problem with homeless tweekers or...
