Lamps Plus — Local services in Redondo Beach

I just left this store. For the last two years I wanted to see the inside. What a disappointment. Everything and I mean everything is over priced. Clearance items are over priced. Go to Home Depot, Ikea or Amazon instead.

And their customer service is horrible. I came in, the first sales girl who had a long ponytail, ignored me. Didn’t say hello. I pass another sales lady with bleach blond, over processed hair. Not one word to me as a customer.

As I was making my way out the door, to my right, was a salesman. He wears glasses and has short brown hair. He just watched me. Not a greeting or a can I help you.

Not until I’m two feet from leaving the front door, does this sales guy tell me to have a good day. Yeah right. He could have asked me if I found everything okay. He didn’t. The fool Just watched me until I was about to leave.

These people don’t realize that there are too many places to go for lamps and furniture. And why the hell would I spend money at a place where I am not helped, just watched? This store sucks and I will NEVER go back.

As human beings, time is the most precious thing we have. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SHOPPING HERE. This store, this business, these awful employees at this store, are not worth wasting your time...

I was looking for an indoor waterfall/water fountain for a coffee table gift. They had a decent selection in store. More meaningful, though, was the wonderful assistance I received from Marcus on the phone. He was extremely helpful and indulged me in my somewhat ridiculous quest for identifying a product on the phone prior to driving to Torrance. Unfortunately at the store there was a person (maybe manager? Heidi) who, while helpful to me, was pretty rude to another employee in front of me. Her criticism seemed really unfair and put me off a lot. She was like “helllllooo? Can you look up? There’s a customer” yadda yadda yadda, to another employee as he looked at the register computer rather than up at me. But I had been at another register just seconds before, and only went to his register because she told me to, so it was absolutely reasonable for him to not be looking up at me in the exact moment I walked up to him. She spoke to him like he was a child not an adult employee and it made me uncomfortable and feel bad for getting him into that position when I really don’t think he did anything wrong. Worst experience at lamps plus in Torrance, employees are so rude, I need it an exchange for a broken penda, I called the store, manager meneleck Irishman assisted me, I explained my situation, I live almost 100 miles away, I don’t know when I will be able to bring it, he said come anytime any day for an exchange, I asked him do you need to put it on aside for me he said”NO”, anyone can help you, I drove all the way down, he’s not there, staff tells me that there is no one to help me because according to them they need an specialist to bring down the penda from the sales floor, of course is not there business, they don’t care about the customer, is was easy for them to said come back since is not there time and money, I decided to just return it if they don’t appreciate my business somebody else will, they definitely lost a customer, I will never shop or recommend...
