My husband and I have lived at Sun Harbour Apartments for almost six years. We're now moving out only because we're expecting a newborn and need a larger place. Overall, we’ve really enjoyed our time here.
Jill and the management team are professional and responsive. They take safety seriously—there are surveillance cameras around the complex, and they take proactive measures to keep the community secure. (I won’t go into details here for safety reasons.) They even move packages left near the mailboxes to a locked pickup area. We’ve always felt safe living here.
The common areas are kept clean, and my maintenance requests have always been handled promptly after I emailed. Whenever there was planned work that required a water shut-off, I received advance notice every time. There’s also an annual inspection, and the maintenance staff has always been professional. For example, during the last inspection, they changed the battery in our carbon monoxide detector within five minutes.
The laundry room is another big plus—there are about 20 washers and 20 dryers, and I rarely had to wait for machines. All the machines were upgraded a couple of years ago and are cleaned weekly.
The neighbors here are wonderful too—friendly, polite, and quiet. The neighborhood is nice and safe, and I often enjoyed walking to the nearby park and stores.
I even noticed they install new vinyl flooring in the living room when renovating units for new tenants (I really wished we had that too!).

She initially told me that if I wanted to qualify for an apartment I needed to bring up my credit score. I did that. In fact my score went up 97 points bringing me from 580-677. She told me I needed a 650 in order to apply. I had an above 650. I reapplied and she told me I didn’t make enough DESPITE me showing her I had the money in my account and even had a co-signer who made the 3-4 times the rent like she stated would be apart of the requirement. Jill then made it about me not having a “job” despite me telling her I had one and was relocating from NY to CA for interviews. I told her what I did and she questioned my credibility in my field of work in a condescending manner. I have never in my life felt so discriminated by an establishment. I receive 100s of calls, emails , etc a day spamming me since the day I applied. This is the only apartment I gave all my personal information too. The people calling me even told me they got my information through this apt. I have 780 credit and my finance and I make over 10k a month together she denied us and kept our application fees. When we called to follow up she told us someone already got it but she wouldn’t be giving us our money back for the credit check. This is very illegal and when I brought it to their attention and asked for a physical copy of the credit check they did which I legally have a right to , they denied and hung up on me. They also denied to give me the owners number or any contact information.I will be making sure they make this right and don’t sell anyone else information this...
