We came in for Breakfast, Winne was our server, ( older Asian lady) .. she took our orders for drinks, I ordered coffee. The coffee was a bit bitter, so I kept adding what I thought was half-and-half in the coffee and I look in the bowl of creamers that the server brings out when you order coffee and they were all nondairy creamers. I asked her if she had just regular half-and-half and she said no that she had the vanilla flavored and I said no just plain half-and-half. She told me that they don’t have any half-and-half and walk away I find it very hard to believe that they wouldn’t have any half-and-half in the back kitchen area or maybe even whole milk but she didn’t even try to make any suggestions so I stopped drinking coffee. She brought the food out. My boyfriend ordered a club sandwich with fries. He works in a restaurant in the kitchen and said that the fries were cooked and old oil. They did look like the pictures above. (That other review have their dead looking fries) thats what his looked like, my food was fine no complaints. The pancakes were very good, my daughters food was fine , and as soon as she dropped off the food to the table she's also dropped off the check for us to go pay! I was really confused because I have never gone to a restaurant and felt so rushed off the check when she brought her food? We shrugged it off and we were eating my boyfriend got an important call from his job and was talking and she came by and asked if he wanted a box probably like five minutes into our 10 minutes we looked at each other very confused and we thought maybe her shift is going to end and it’s about tips. I’m not sure, but she kept asking and then all of a sudden, since we were not ready to leave, we were still halfway our meals she left and never came back I went to pay the bill and asked for two boxes to go at the front since she never went back to see if everything was ok.. I never leave a little bit of tip but this time I absolutely felt the need to just tip her five dollars. Our bill was like $55 or so and I just feel like she only got the five dollars for bringing the food to the table. If there’s actual management that cares about this norm location, she needs training in customer service she’s extremely impatient by bringing out the check when she’s dropping off our food coming to ask us if we need a box to go while he’s not even 5 to 10 minutes into our food and if customer ask you something simple like half-and-half very doubtful that there’s no half-and-half in the kitchen. When we got there everything was great Mike our server made us feel welcome brought our drinks took our order shortly after he brought our food his shift was ending and told us the other server will continue to assist us little did we know that the last cup of coffee he bought us was gonna be that our last cup the server named Socorro that was to see if we needed anything never bothered to check on us once I was about to start eating noticed I had a hair on my eggs I asked for her to come to our table midway to our table she asks do you need anything as if it was to much for her to come all the way to the table we were already out of drinks and she didn't even offered to bring us more coffee or soda. The second cup of coffee that Mike offered us was the last one we had for the duration of our visit. I really think that if she's to tired to work that shift she should ask for a different shift or find a job were she doesn't have to have good customer service. Ok. I hate this. But it has to be said. I just ate there, usually my favorite place for Porterhouse Breakfast. Today 5th Sept 22, was a Real BAD EXPERIENCE. FIRSTLY, NO MASKS ON WAIT STAFF. SECONDLY, OUR WAITER HAD A SPITTING PROBLEM , THAT WHEN HE SPOKE HE WAS SPITTING OUT SMALL AMOUNTS OF SALIVA. THEN THE NOISE LEVEL WAS TREMENDOUS. COULD NOT EVEN HEAR MY BREAKFAST PARTNER. THEN ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER HE BROUGHT THE FOOD. AND THE STEAK WAS DRY LIKE LEATHER. SENT BACK. AND THE PORTER HOUSE HAD BEEN ALREADY CUT UP INTO PIECES FOR ME. SO, DID THEY TAKE IT OFF OF ANOTHER PERSONS PLATE AND RE SERVE IT TO ME.?? NEXT : THE TOAST IS BUTTERED WITH MARGARINE. AN UN HEALTHY OIL WITH A CHEMICAL FLAVOR . NOT ACTUAL HEALTHY BUTTER AGAIN THE WAITER TALKING AND SPITTING AND GETTING ME VERY AGITATED!! 😠 😡 WHEN THE REPLACEMENT STEAK CAME BACK IT WAS THE OPPOSITE OF DRY. BUT STILL SQUIRMING ON THE PLATE.
