What an awesome market!! Lots of fresh fruit and veggies! Some of the most diverse apples and oranges. And the largest and most flavorful strawberries I've ever found! This place is big and busy and wonderful. At 9 we were lucky to find a parking spot right away. But I see how this place can fill up fast.
I hadn't had breakfast that morning, so I was very happy with the food options. The spiralized potato with BBQ seasoning was probably my favorite. Not to mention some macarons for later (or sooner...).
The Macarons are from Munch Bakery. Oh my goodness! That Nutella macaron!! Not only was that flavor obviously delicious, but it was everything a macaron should be - the crunch on the outside and the chew on the inside. Also, just the right amount of sweetness! And that was just a sample! After that, I knew I had to buy I few! I opted for the Sans Rival (Roasted Cashew), Cho Nut (Philippine Peanut Candy Bar) and Horchata. The Cho Nut stood out because of its true peanut flavor. But I have to say that the Hotchata was my personal favorite. Cinnamon and macarons just go so nicely together!
Hopefully next time I can try more of her unique flavors! Like Tres Leches and...
Read moreThis is one of the larger farmers' market around the southbay beach cities. I think it is comparable to the one in Santa Monica. There are plenty of produce stands for the varieties, has a good egg stand along with some nice flower and plant vendors. The food vendors are at the end of the aisles to the side and you can get some diverse cuisines, Thai, Indian, Mexican and French. Of course dried goods, such as jerky, nuts, fruits are also available. You can find olive oil or artisanal cheese, bread, and vinegar too near the organic meats booth. Last but not least, seafood. I found 2 so you can definitely complete your shopping needs at this market. They are practicing social distancing and there is crowd control so the aisles are not crowded at all. Each vender posts signs on how many customers are allowed in there stand at a time, very respectful of wveryone's health safety. All in all, you can skip the supermarkets and just shop here for your...
Read moreIt was just PERFECT. Going on Tuesday was such a different experience than going on a Saturday. Much less crowded. Although there wasnt quite as many vendors there then on a Saturday there was everything there that I wanted. I was able to engage with the vendors much easier as I wasn't vying for there attention through crowds of people. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The produce was beautiful and not all picked through even though I got there later in the morning. One of the best perks was there was PLENTY of parking!! I have a prosthetic leg so parking near the entrance makes it much easier for me.. Another major perk was that every vendor I went too was able to accept payment with my credit card. Not having to get cash was very helpful. The Torrance Farmers market in my opinion is one of the best in Southern California and going on a week day is the way to go!!! Oh the man playing guitar...
