The worst ever...if it wasn't for my illness and close location to my medical I would have NEVER stayed, for the following reasons:||1. Website prices do NOT match what is charged at check-in (when I complained, owner said I signed the receipt that they refused to give me a copy bc I "cussed" him (called him a damn liar)...never sign receipts without glasses||2. "Smokeless" hotel yet allow guest to smoke pot on the 2nd floor...when I mentioned it, staff shrugged their shoulders like it wasn't a big deal||3. Coffee pot spitting out black pieces and the replacement pot did the same - no hot coffee nor tea (lobby had makings for tea but no microwavable cups to make in microwave)||4. No phone in room & no one in the lobby answer when called from cell phone||5. As stated by other guests, furniture is sticky, wifi is very weak, tub not clean (hair left in drain)||6. "Free breakfast" is choice of cheerios or fruit loop cereal & pastries (probably the best part of the stay...which is sad when cereal choice is the best a hotel has to offer) oh and juice machine not working - probably bc the owner is too cheap to provide juice.||7. Quest yelling / fighting (ghetto vibe) & Loud repairs going on late into the day, so no business calls or work accomplished||I would have done better sleeping in my car at a truck stop...||8. Speaking of cars, employees seem to like parking in handicap spots (very close to the lobby) and I had to wait for the staff to move car so I could park||** 8 reasons why at least now I remember now why I don't usually...
Read moreThe building looks ok from the outside and similar to many other Super 8 chain hotels. However, that’s where the similarities stop. The reception area is very small; standing room only. There is no seating for the ‘free’ breakfast which was a horrible packaged pastry. ||We arrived on a rainy evening and asked the cab driver to wait because there was no one was at the desk. We were actually thinking of going elsewhere for the night and should have done that!! Finally, when the desk attendant came out, we asked if we could see a room and he told us that was not allowed and if we wanted to see the room we’d have to pay for it in advance. That was our first clue in how this hotel is run. Unfortunately because it was late in the night, we ended up paying and stayed the night. ||The small elevator is outside so we got wet waiting for it. Our room was horrible! The bed covers and bedding were old and disgusting and the carpets were stained, smelly and worn out. The dressers were sticky and banged up. The bathroom had dirty caulking and cracks in the floor and baseboards. We could hear the tv and other people talking in their rooms. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep. The best part of this hotel was...
Read moreThis place is a mess. Currently mid-renovation, so hopefully after construction it will be better. I would not stay there while renovations are in process, call and ask if it’s complete should you decide to roll the dice and stay here. Mold in the shower, the bathroom door didn’t close, holes in the blankets, throw pillows in the place of bed pillows, I felt like I was going to fall through the floors in the hallway. The “breakfast” bar is a joke, the location is super sketchy and there’s not even a hint of security so anyone could just walk in off of the street, hop in the elevator and onto your floor. Not great to be in that situation in a rough part of town with an abundance of unhoused people. The walls are paper thin, I could hear other people in their room down the hall having a normal volume conversation. The guy at the front desk was nice but not particularly helpful, the manager was a scam artist - “no refunds after check in” but no one would actually check in if they saw the rooms before checking in. I recommend you just find a crack den in Hollywood to stay in, the vibe is almost identical, it’ll cost you less and at least the location will be...
