Terrible customer service. Verizon has unfortunately downgraded their services and is now forcing its customers to go to ubreakifix locations for any phone repairs. The phone was NOT functioning yesterday and my boyfriend stopped by this location and they told him he could not drop off the phone until Verizon made a claim. I contacted Verizon yesterday while he was there and they attempted to make a claim and said they couldn’t because their systems at Verizon were down and they had to wait till tomorrow. I call today, they make an appointment at this location at 6pm and my boyfriend arrived and they opened the door and asked him if he was doing a pick up? My boyfriend does not speak English, Spanish only. So he had me on the line and I was attempting to explain that all he had to do was do a drop off. The customer representative at this Ubreakifix store was rude to me over the phone and did not let me finish explaining. He kept saying over and over we are closed. No drop offs, only pick ups. I explained to him that his hours on google state 7pm and yesterday at the same time, another representative was able to assist my boyfriend and attempt to take his phone but couldn’t because there was no claim. He said we are closed due to inventory. If they were closed due to inventory, why did Verizon make an appointment for 6pm for us? To drop off the phone? He kept saying we are closed, come tomorrow. He was very very unprofessional. I told him he was being rude and not allowing me to finish speaking and he said you are giving me attitude and I do nothing have to show you good customer service because we are closed! Slammed the door on my boyfriend and left to the back room. I do not know his name, nor do I have a picture of him, but my boyfriend said he looked somewhat Asian and had long hair and a tattoo behind his ear. I would like to speak to the manager and follow up on this. So rude. We did not deserve to be treated this way. If you don’t like what you do, then quit. You are in customer service and your business survives because of clients like us. Treat us with the...

I am a RETURNING CUSTOMER who had left a five-star review (now deleted) two years ago. They fixed my iPhone screen and I was happy with the service.
Today it was time to replace the battery and the plug. Figured they would do a great job like the last time. Unfortunately they broke the screen and refused to rectify their mistake by replacing it.
They did offer to give me 50% off a new screen, but I found that ludicrous.
They had completed the battery and plug repair, (a $200 repair which took the tech 3 hours to complete) However, since the manager would not rectify their mistake, she actually had the tech put the broken parts back in the phone. I'm assuming that it would take the tech another 2-3 hours to get the phone back as it was.
I left the store without my phone.
When I returned to pick up my phone @ close (7pm) I expected my phone “worse for the wear” as the battery and plug would still be broken, but now I’d also have a broken screen.
Turns out, the manager must have had a change of heart and fixed the screen (they broke). The repair on the battery and plug were not done. She had them swap back to my old ones.
So to recap:
They broke my screen and would not rectify their mistake. They used (and wasted) 4-5 labor hours on the phone. They did not receive any money from me. They ended-up replacing the screen that they broke and ate the cost.
Ironically, I would have had no problem paying for the repair I took it in for and would have been happy they reaccessed their position on the screen.
Unfortunately, due to the petty nature of the manager, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
In my opinion, the company needs to figure out why this incompetent manager is still employed.
No way to run a business.
Hope...
Read moreI recently had to deal with a warranty issue for my Pixel 8 and was directed to Ubreakifixit, an authorized repair provider for Google. My phone was experiencing a well-known display problem where the screen would intermittently turn green. The check-in process was quick, and there was no line, which was a good start.
However, things took a turn when I handed my phone to the front desk representative. She seemed to recognize the issue but insisted on taking the phone to the back for a closer inspection. When she returned, she pointed out two barely noticeable marks on the bottom of my phone and claimed that these tiny blemishes voided the warranty coverage for the display issue. I was shocked, thinking she must be joking, but she was completely serious. She told me that I would have to pay approximately $225 out of pocket for the repair, and when I asked if this was definite or if someone else needed to verify, she assured me it was certain.
Feeling frustrated, I left the store and decided to send my phone directly to Google instead. To my relief, Google promptly resolved the issue at no cost. This experience leads me to believe that either Ubreakifixit is not fully aligned with Google's warranty policies, or the staff member I dealt with was not qualified to make such definitive statements without proper verification.
Overall, this experience left me questioning the competence of Ubreakifixit as a certified repair center for Google products. I would be hesitant to rely on them for any future...
