NO SECURITY GUARD AT THE ENTRANCE, OR INSIDE THE LOCATION. This used to be a good place, but unfortunately not anymore. Recliner chairs while comfortable are filthy, trash everywhere on top and around the garbage can. This location is definitely short of staff, they need to step up and start paying staff according to the times so ppl will want to work here. They don't have any type of security a scary thing for the times we are living.
A group of 6 teens walk-in the place without checking in, and no one asked or said a thing, at first it would have gone unnoticed if it wasn't for their loud and disrespectful behavior, unfortunately for us, they went in the same movie as us and for the next 30 to 40 minutes they kept standing up and having to move every time the person who reserved the seat showed up, mind we pay 18 dollars a ticket (3D movie) At one point these other kids had to go back and forth with them because they did not want to move, another guy a few rows back who previously had to get them out of his chair, intervened and told them to move, there was no security in the place this is a group of teens from different circumstances than the rest of us in that room (to say it nicely) It could have easily turned in to a bad situation. A security guard at the door and another one inside would have kept ppl like these teens away. Recently I went to a Royal Movie theater and there were 2 armed guards, while watching the movie one walked into the room making sure everything was OK. Overall is sad because this location before the pandemic was the best movie theater in this area. We have been coming here for the past 10 years with the kids (now adults) and recently with my parents. They are short of staff the staff has little customer skills and are careless, No security (a must this day!) And you sit in filthy chairs. A LOT...
Read moreI started watching movies way before they ever had the remodel done, though back then I hardly did go there because the had a full rate during all day and night Friday, Saturday as well as Sunday so I did stay clear of the place on those days. And as far as that goes that is still my policy, but Monday thru Thursday damn skippy I go on those day and only there since they did do that remodel summer of 2013. Right after the remodel you could walk in and get a nice comfortable reclining seat and sit where you were most comfortable, but after all the general public caught wind of the remodel I know better than to just go there without pre-ordering a ticket only that's only way you can still get a seat you want. Don't get me wrong I definitely do love the remodel though I wish that reclining button was on the outside end of the chair arm instead of where it is because my thigh always hits it and the recliner goes down on me all the time. Love that you can butter your own pop-corn, get your own drink and do love the $10 credit you get after so many dollars spent before hand. Regals reward card used to be nice you get earn free movie passes, free drinks, candy and popcorn but now you can't, as well a couple years back they went to buying the cheapest crap popcorn I've ever had, and believe me I bitched about that all the time to the managers. But anyway back to AMC it's the only theater I go to at all for the past two years except for the occasional drive-in on Transit. The seating at AMC is not only more comfortable but there is also lot's of elbow room, and you don't have to stand or even lower your legs for people to...
Read moreI was apprehensive about coming here simply because of the low reviews, but I have it a try because we had a $25 gift card, and the only other AMC near us is across from Shea's and your likely going to pay to park. The person at the deal wasn't overly friendly, but not rude either: a teenager stuck working on a weekend. I simply liked it was a person and not those horrible kiosks Regal uses. We went to the early show, so it was 25% off - $26.85 for 2 adults and one kid is a pretty good deal. $11 for a large popcorn, and there's a free refill - you need to sign up to get the free refill, but she never even checked. The butter is self-serve, and I don't like that because the bottom of the bucket has some dry popcorn in it. The lobby itself was clean: no messy drink area, no popcorn everywhere, maybe later on after lots of people have been there it gets worse but at 2:15 it was very clean. The seats were comfy, the temperature was fine, and it wasn't too loud. We were near the front, but for a theatre full of kids, everyone was very well behaved. The only star is taken of because the bathroom was a bit icky. There was a lot of water on the floor (including a suspicious puddle in front of the toilet), and the tp was extremely thin...like not even there thin; but there was soap, water that actually came out of the faucet and hand dryers so no harm done. Would I go again: it's a half hour drive so probaly not, but I would dissuade anyone from...
