Read moreWe joined our family here for a last minute bite tonight. I want to preface my upcoming remarks by saying it’s a Saturday so we were prepared for a little bit of a longer wait, busier servers etc. After sitting at the bar for a while we put our name in for a table and were surprised to be seated so quickly. After that we sat, and then sat some more and no server arrived to greet us. Eventually the manager came over to check on us and we said nobody had been by yet. He went and spoke to a nearby server, Olivia, who came over and was immediately defensive even though we were not in a particular hurry and had only answered a question asked by the manager. It was downhill from here. We asked if instead of fries with one order we could have a side salad. According to Olivia this would be an $8 up charge… $8 to switch fries for salad? This is not her fault but as a business, that’s insane. She offered broccoli instead which was fine. When the food eventually arrived, it was placed on the table and the different server disappeared before we could ask for silverware, of which we had none. Eventually we managed to catch Olivia’s attention and asked if we could have silverware so we could eat our food. Again she was defensive, and made us feel like it was an unreasonable request. The attitude was pouring off her by this point. When she returned she brought a single fork - for a party of 4! We called her out on the attitude and she gave excuse after excuse saying the silverware was being cleaned and she could have brought us dirty forks instead but she didn’t, followed by the weakest apology possible. The food was dry and bland. Olivia’s attitude stinks. Maybe she’s having a bad day but honestly, it was inexcusable. And then to literally hang over our table trying to defend herself when she was entirely in the...
Read moreThis is my 3rd recent review! My original review was praising the to-die-for Drunken Pork Chops. They were mouth-watering and almost addicting. My 2nd review was from a visit I made to the restaurant after telling my friend that she HAD to get the pork chops. ALL 3 of us ordered the pork chops (2 of us had them before). The two of us were shocked when our plates arrived at our table. The pork chops were not the same. They were maybe 1/3 the thickness of the original pork chops and the sauce was spicy and not sweet. We were very disappointed and apologized to our friend. The other person said something to the waitress and she said she has been getting similar feedback from other customers. So, I came here to Google to update my review. Restaurant owners usually have two options in this scenario. Ignore it completely or say sorry and offer a gift card. A reply was left on my review. A couple days later the manager, Tony, of the restaurant called me and left a voicemail. I called back a few days later when I knew he would be working based on his voicemail. He said they would be sending me a gift card and they have decided to go back to the original pork chops! I confirmed with theanager that if I went into the restaurant in the next few days they would have the original thick pork chops? He said yes! A few days later, me and the other person went to Brick House Tavern. We confirmed with the waitress that the original pork chops are back and she confirmed with the chefs. We both ordered them! They were not exactly like the to-die-for pork chops I once had, but they are A LOT better than the thin spicy version. If they can nail the juiciness, they will be spot on! Thank you Brick House Tavern (Landry's) and Tony for trying to make things right!!! I...
