Ashley Amsterdam — Attraction in Town of Amsterdam

I had a great experience from walking into the door and being greeted. I was not hassled or asked over and over if I needed help once I let the person who greeted me at the door, know that I was looking for so when I was talking to on the phone. She informed me that Jessica was on the phone with another customer and will get with me as soon as she was done and she walked off. Which was cool to have happened being an African-American woman. No one was following cool to have happened being an African-American woman. No one was following me around or watching me as I walk through the store. As soon as Jessica was done, she walked up to me, greeted me with a beautiful smile and started showing me all the things that I had texted her I wanted. She also took me back to her computer to look at other things that I may like. She made me feel like I knew her for years. I got to order a lot of things that I need it for my new house in a very short period of time with ease and confidence. I look forward to going back and buying more stuff because the process was easy and friendly all the way to me getting in my car and having people load stuff into my car for me. It was truly a great experience and I will be going back thank you Jessica, and all the people that worked on helping me with my grade experience. Sorry I don’t know everyone’s name. Oh, and I got one part of my furniture today and it was delivered in a timely manner. That process was also amazing. I got a call the day before asking me about my order and letting me know that they will be delivering between 12 and three. Sooooo, I was just in this store and left feeling really uneasy. My daughter and I entered the store looking for the furniture set that I had my heart set on and was hoping was still there. When we walked in, there were 3/4 people at the back desk area, in the middle of conversation, so of course no one said anything, I didnt think much of it. We stopped in front of the area where the t.v. was playing some sort of "bloopers " show on it, stood and watched for a minute or 2, still nothing. We started to head toward the back and a guy walked passed us and only spoke to us as he walked by as if it just hit him that he should speak. He said "how are you ladies doing today?" without stopping or even slowing down. Just thought he was in the middle of something, so didnt think much of that either. We eventually got to the couch that I was there to purchase....we sat for 5-10 minutes, with no interaction from anyone there! Others walked past us and this same guy who I watched walk back and forth near the area we were in, didnt say anything to else, but immediately helped another customer, who just walked back to that area. At this point I was upset, and no longer interested in giving them my money. We got up, started walking towards the desk, the 2/3 people that were sitting at the desk didnt say a word! Not ; " did you find what you were looking for?" "Do you have any questions?" "Can I help you with anything? NOTHING! Not have a nice day, thank you for coming, NOTHING!! Terrible customer service. Hate to say what I'm thinking, but how could I not think it was because we are black?? Its ok...I know not to enter their store ever again! I'm sure they wouldnt...

Our experience at Ashley Furniture was amazing from start to finish. Their sales team and furniture selection paired with their great deals and price matching made our decision to go with Ashley an easy one. The staff at the show room was patient and accommodating throughout the entire process. They answered all of our questions and found us exactly what we were looking for.

When we purchased our furniture, we hadn’t closed on our house yet. There were continuous obstacles and things that held us up for months. Ashley never pressured us to pick up our furniture or to give them a delivery date. Instead, they waited until we were ready and got us the next available date after our closing.

When our furniture was delivered, the service was impeccable. They laid out a carpet outside of our door to make sure they had clean shoes every time they came in, they took their time assembling and setting everything up, they helped us situate our area rug under the couch, and they made sure we knew how our adjustable bed frame worked. Both of them were personable accommodating. When they realized an item was missing from the truck, they didn’t tell us we had to set up another delivery, nor did they make us wait for the item. Instead, another member of the Ashley team loaded it on their personal truck and drove it to my house immediately.
