Aside from the fact that this gym is tiny and over packed, the staff is not helpful whatsoever. I have had a membership with Blink since the gyms reopened after covid. in March I had canceled my membership, however I attempted to re-join within the 45 Day cancellation period. I was informed by the front desk girl and, who I believ was general manager, brianna, that I would have to wait seven days until my membership officially canceled out in order to re-up my membership. I confirmed with them that with doing this I would not have to pay a second annual fee and they assured me that they will put a note on my account that I would not have to pay a second annual fee as I already paid my first on November 4th 2020. Being that I also work at a gym I understand how the system blink uses, MOSO, works as I use the same one. Despite that, any intelligent person knows that an annual fee is once a year. I then confirmed with two other front desk boys on different occasions that there was a note on my account that I wouldn’t be double charged the annual fee they all told me up and down that I would not be responsible for the annual fee a second time in one year of membership. However, I was charged another annual fee on May 4 of 2021. I had to call blank eight different times to finally get a manager on the phone and the girl that I got was completely and utterly irresponsible and rude, her name is Lakin. She was not understanding whatsoever on the phone and kept cutting me off telling me she was there for the situation, and they never promised me that I wouldn’t have to pay a second annual fee and claims that it was some thing that needed to be passed along to a supervisor to approve and they didn’t approve it and someone tried to contact me. I said that no one had contacted me regarding this. She rudely informed me that there was a note on my account that someone left me a voicemail but I have no voicemail from anyone at blink and I have no missed calls from anyone at blink. I came in to cancel my membership in which she made me pay a cancellation fee, which I would understand, if I wasn’t charged a second annual fee that she was refusing to give back claiming that her supervisor didn’t approve it and that she didn’t have the authority to process that. However even though I mentioned to her that I literally work at a gym and use the same system, she tried to brush off the fact that I said I am aware that you can do an immediate refund and cancel of a membership without a cancellation fee in MOSO. I know for a fact she was not there for the original conversation in which I re-joined on my membership, but she claims that she was there when I signed up originally, I’m not really sure what that has to do with the situation but she felt it was important. you would think that re-joining the gym and bringing back my revenue to the gym they would work a little harder to try to keep their members happy but when I walked in the door to cancel she had my cancellation form already filled out and ready for me to go and just sign. Lakin, Who I found out is an assistant manager, did absolutely nothing to try to resolve this problem with me just kept reinforcing that there was a note on my account that someone called me and left...

Title: Subpar Experience, try somewhere else if serious. Very basic but convenient.
I've been a loyal member of Blink Fitness for five long years, but I can confidently say that my experience has deteriorated over time. When I first joined, I would have given this gym a 3.5 out of 5 stars. However, the quality has plummeted, and I can now only rate it a dismal 1.5/2 out of 5.
Firstly, the majority of the positive reviews here are fake, painting an inaccurate picture of what this gym is really like. Don't be fooled by the glowing reviews; they're far from the truth and were posted by highschoolers trying to show off their friend that worked there (I understand)
PROS: This gym isn’t bad if you’re looking for a regular, commercial gym to exercise/stay healthy. If you’re looking for anything else then I’d advise elsewhere. They have the necessary strength machines cardio equipment, free weight section and turf/stretching area; big open space. Very convenient and clean. Locker rooms are nice and they have a safe/functioning parking lot. The staff that have been there long term are friendly and attentive. It is one of the biggest blinks on the island as well.
CONS:
Equipment maintenance is a joke here. Almost everything is constantly BROKEN, and it takes an eternity for anything to get fixed. Water machine was broken for 6 months and owner blamed it on the part being hard to get..It's frustrating to pay for a service that consistently fails to provide functioning equipment. Plus raising the membership from $15 to $20 a month without grandfathering in members from when they first started is just robbery. Do better. No sauna, classes, tanning bed or hydro massage. Would just go to another gym for the same price that includes these amenities.
The cleaning guy, particularly one individual, never the less is a very hardworking individual; lacks basic social etiquette. I've had countless encounters where this person would clean the machines I was using without any consideration, making my workout experience uncomfortable. Moreover, their habit of soaking the floors with the mop until they become dangerously slippery is a hazard to everyone present. Please don’t soak the floors by the benches during rush hour gym time 4pm-8pm.
Inexcusably, I was once on the stair master when the same cleaning person moped the extension cord accidentally unplugged the machine. This reckless action could have resulted in a severe injury, highlighting the staff's carelessness and lack of attention to members' safety. A positive: he is one of the most hardworking people i’ve ever met just needs some tips on what not to do.
The only positive change I've noticed is how they fired some staff members who were causing issues. However, that doesn't compensate for the overall state of this gym. Save your time, money, and effort; Blink Fitness is no longer worth your investment.
I went for the convenience, low price and basic gym necessities and after such a long time I can say...
Read moreI am glad to hear that your machine has been fixed and you can now work out your butt at Blink Fitness gym. It's always frustrating when equipment doesn't work properly, especially when it's something you rely on to achieve your fitness goals. In this essay, I will discuss how Nick Rose fixed your machine and why it's important to have functioning equipment at the gym.
Firstly, let's talk about the importance of having functional equipment at the gym. If equipment is not working properly, it can not only hinder your workout but also put you at risk of injury. For example, if you are using a weight machine and it's not working properly, it could cause you to strain your muscles or even drop the weight, causing injury to yourself or others around you. It's crucial to have equipment that is in good working condition to ensure you can have a safe and effective workout.
When you encountered a problem with your machine, you likely contacted the gym staff or someone who works with the equipment. In this case, Nick Rose was the person who fixed your machine. It's important to recognize the skill and expertise of individuals like Nick who work behind the scenes to keep equipment functioning properly. Without their hard work and dedication, the gym experience would not be the same.
So, what did Nick do to fix your machine? It's hard to say without more information, but he may have had to replace a part, adjust a setting, or perform some other kind of maintenance. Whatever the case may be, Nick was able to diagnose and fix the issue, allowing you to resume your workout routine.
It's worth noting that not all gym equipment issues are easy to fix. Some problems may require more time and resources to resolve. It's important to be patient and understanding when encountering equipment issues at the gym, as there may be factors beyond the gym staff's control that are contributing to the problem.
Finally, I want to emphasize the importance of thanking individuals like Nick who work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly at the gym. It's easy to take functioning equipment for granted, but it's important to recognize the hard work and dedication that goes into maintaining it. A simple thank you or expression of gratitude can go a long way in showing appreciation for their efforts.
In conclusion, having functional equipment is crucial for a safe and effective workout experience. When encountering equipment issues, it's important to be patient and understanding, and to recognize the hard work of individuals like Nick who work to keep equipment functioning properly. With a fixed machine, you can get back to your workout routine and continue working towards your fitness goals. Remember to express gratitude for those who work behind the scenes to make the gym...
