It just occurred to me today that after all the years Iâve been raving about CPL, I never took the time to formally write a reviewâso here it is. Since I moved to the island in 2002, Iâve been amazed by CPLâs offerings. Back then, their movie selection rivaled Blockbuster (look it up if youâre too young!). Fast-forward to today, and CPL has become an integral part of my familyâs life.
I regularly check out items like projectors and hotspots through the Library of Things. For my daughterâs birthday one year, I borrowed a yard sign, games, activities, a projector, and a screenâeverything needed to throw an unforgettable party. The Empire Passport has given my family access to local beaches, and weâve used the museum passes countless times. Just today, we visited the Vanderbilt Museum, and tomorrow weâre heading to the NY Hall of Science. These experiences have exposed my kids to amazing opportunities we might not have otherwise had.
The quiet rooms were a lifesaver when I worked remotely, and I even used one recently for a private family meeting. Wireless printing from home with library pickup is genius and incredibly helpful! The ongoing, thoughtful kids' events are unmatched, and the library is always evolving based on feedback. Just when you think CPL canât get better, they surprise you with something new.
The staff is amazingâalways helpful, friendly, and genuinely invested in the community. If I could give more than five stars, I would! Thank you, Copiague Library, for being such an incredible part of this community and for fostering amazing experiences...
Read moreThis is my favorite library because they provide quiet rooms which I just feel they enhance my concentration. They have a snack/cafe area good to go for my 10 min breaks after those long hours of studying. They also have an excellent childroom area. My toddlers have lots of fun here and we find so many classic children books in Spanish as well - helping them acquire bilingual skills. Love the variety of museum passes offered. They remodeled the bathroom making it easier for me to change my children. The libraries in the other towns should offer all these...
Read moreI came in looking for a book that my home library (West Babylon) didnât have. I went to the information desk and Melinda helped me. She was so sweet and she got up and went and found the book for me and brought it back to the desk! She couldnât have been nicer and more helpful! She even took the time to tell us about a summer program that Suffolk County is running in the libraries. I didnât get her name but the woman who checked out my book was very nice too. Copiague has a very...
