Four stars if I can include Tanner park a half mile due south.
Your regular CVS but on the smaller end size and selection wise. An average 99 cent store. Fine Fare ( med size grocer with nice selection of Polish and South/Central American foods. Recently added a self service hot foods buffet with about 25 different trays including bistec (thin Hispanic steak), beef stew, pork stew, and chicken stew, all slow cooked with veggies and two different styles of empanadas, three rice dishes, sides, etc. Everything I tried was average to very good all at 10.99/lb. Sushi was average but the I found the fresh juice bar underwhelming.
There’s also a good bakery with delectable cakes, pastries, cookies, and breads. Unfortunately the coffee is below average the three times my wife and I tried it. Dunkin is a block away.
They also have your typical cell phone store (Verizon), an optician, a hearing aid outlet, a stationary store that’s primarily there for lotto and scratch offs.
A liquor store with an excellent wine and single malt scotch selection and a very knowledgeable staff and we walked out with several bottles even though we rarely if ever drink alcohol but I’m sure our future guests will be thrilled.
A really good Thai place and a fast food outlet that only does chicken wings. El Paso (really really good Mexican food at fantastic prices, can’t be beat for value but best to take out or have delivered rather than dine in, is just across the street due east. An underwhelming Chinese place unfortunately.
There’s also a Wendy’s one block west.
There’s also a financial services office and a Chase bank is across the street due north.
Half a mile south is Tanner park and beach with a top flight skate board course if that’s your style. Very entertaining to watch. Particularly the wipe outs! (Sorry) Some videos we still laugh at and they’re over four years old seen hundreds of times and I’m sure will be seen hundreds more. A nice dog park and run. Multiple sports courts (tennis, basketball, baseball diamonds and whole ball fields plus soccer and football. Great place to catch little league games and adult/senior softball. The only thing they don’t have is a golf course. Instead there’s a nice marina and boat ramp if you prefer trailering.
I hope I didn’t leave anyone out but your typical suburban strip mall with essentials easily and readily obtained with a minimum of fuss and wasted time at a decent quality. Plus great place to picnic within walking distance. Also a senior center at Tanner, one of the nicer county parks but not if you prefer hiking in the woods or playing golf. Great place for kites with that...
Read moreI really enjoy the plaza besides going there w my friend Sue, to a big Italian restaurant called Mamas. The ace is always crowded, but never a long wait. The food is delicious and the staff polite and friendly. ❤ This is one of our favorite places to go 😍🤠 There is also a 99cent store and a half price card shop, and a CVS!...
Read moreA good-quality neighborhood plaza. Whether you need groceries, baked goods, a pharmacy, or random cheap, dollar-store stuff, this plaza probably has what you need.
In addition, there’s Mama’s Italian restaurant, which seems to be a neighborhood staple. Next to the plaza is a liquor store and a...
