On several visits to this store, I have observed Orandas suffering from multiple infections and diseases, including advanced stages of red spot disease, fin rot, and fungal infections. On one particular visit, I discovered a deceased fish floating at the top of the tank. I immediately alerted a store associate, who identified herself as a "fish expert." Unfortunately, her response was defensive, and when I inquired about their protocol for water changes and general maintenance, her answers were vague and insufficient. Concerned about the well-being of the fish, I returned to the store a week later, only to be informed by the same associate that approximately five of the Oranda Goldfish had passed since my last visit. It is deeply troubling that a retail store of this nature seems to be so ill-informed about the proper care of such a delicate species.
Update - 6/15/2025 I was really disheartened by the condition of most of the betta fish at this store. They are kept in tiny plastic cups and placed on shelves like decorative items rather than living creatures. It's hard to understand how this practice is still considered acceptable. Several of the fish appeared to be in poor health, which was upsetting to witness. The picture I took was of one of the betta's. He was still breathing, but barely moving. It's a terrible industry and I wish they would not...
Read moreI bought a bag of Purina Pro Plan here on 11/6. When I opened it the next day, the bag was full of webs and maggots all throughout the food. I’ve never seen anything like it.
My boyfriend and I returned the bag that evening, and the employee at the register could not have been less phased. She told us that there is an “infestation” in the store. Another employee walked by and pointed at the return at our feet and said, “Is it the worms again?” The cashier processed our refund and sent us on our merry way.
I contacted PetSmart corporate that night and I’m absolutely shocked that no one has followed up to share measures that are being taken to mitigate this issue. After doing my own research, it seems that the store is suffering from an infestation of pantry moths, and continues to sell larva infested bags of food to unknowing customers - anything for a buck, huh, PetSmart?
I wrote this review the day after we processed the return, but deleted it to give the store the chance to do the right thing and make contact about the issue. Clearly they don’t care enough for their customers in any regard. I will never shop at a PetSmart again and encourage others to...
Read moreI had a grooming appointment at 8oclock for grooming. I reached there at 8:05 I rang the door bell several times and called no one answered. I started waving frantically and tapping the glass to get the worker inside her attention. She didn’t even see me. So when I finally got let inside it was 8:18. Jessica gave me an attitude which I found unnecessary and I didn’t appreciate it . She told me make sure I’m time next time when I explained to her I was here at 8:05 the doors are locked. She was like welllll we opened at 8 and my coworker was doing carts for so long, saying it with an attitude basically trying to deny that I was waiting outside for so long and instead of apologizing for me having to wait that long. However when I do take my puppy monthly, Antonia does an amazing job with him and she’s so sweet. On a different day, I had asked a question about an interview cause they said had a table w two big stacks of papers saying hiring. When I asked about the job, I was told by the manager I’m good, yet he made it seem as though they had positions open for everyone. I honestly don’t get why lie, and to me it felt like...
