IHOP — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

i usually dont write reviews but this is something i need to write about. i came to this ihop with my fiancé and we were seated very quickly. The hostess came over and took our orders for our drinks and said our server will be right over. we must have waited 15 minutes for our server to come over. she was nice but took a very long time. during this time other people were seated. she took our orders and put them in. i asked for mozzarella sticks for a appetizer and a burger for my meal. my fiancé got strawberry banana pancakes. my fiancé started to notice everyone getting there food first and that our food was just sitting. the waitresses were focused on door dash orders. by the time we got our mozzarella sticks they were cold. we waited another 10-15 minutes and our food came. the burger was good but my fiancés pancakes were so cold. it was disgusting. im never this unhappy with ihop. will never be going back to this location ever again. we have reason to believe that because I'm African American and my fiancés Caucasian that we were...

It's IHOP. Expect standard menu, standard prices.

Service here is above average.

Dining room is clean but the decor is dated. I think it's time for a fresh coat of paint, some new wallpaper, and maybe some newer light fixtures.

Staff is very friendly. Even when the restaurant is filled to capacity they keep their cool - and their sense of humor! :-)

On weekends you can expect to wait about 10 minutes. Longer if you have a large group (more than 4 people).

They offer Carry Out service.

They are conveniently located on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon.

Senior citizens (55+) receive discounts (i.e. Buy One Entree Get One Free) Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday from 3 PM to close.

Noise level - even when filled to capacity (plus another dozen or so in the waiting area) is average. You can hold a conversation without yelling. Hey, it's the little things. :-)

The only reason why I even give it three stars is because the food was great this morning (kudos to whoever was cooking) and the last server we had, Lisa (German lady) was phenomenal! Made sure we had our drinks and was super sweet! Unfortunately this time our server (Theresa) and the hostess were very rude. We heard them talking about another server (Margaret) and about customers. We overheard them saying how certain customers (a couple with their daughter) were obnoxious and how a server needed to turn up her hearing aid. Our server really never showed up to our table and when she did, she would ask us a question and keep walking like she couldn't be bothered if we needed anything else. When we do go back, I'll be making sure we ask for Lisa again because I can't rave enough about her and unfortunately she wasn't there this morning when we went there otherwise the review would be...
