Staples — Attraction in Town of Babylon

I give staples 3 stars because they offer everything BUT they offer NOTHING for left handed people! Some of the staff didn't even know that LEFT handed notebooks pens abd pencils even existed. Staples needs to do better to be more INCLUSIVE. left handed things are VERY VERY IMPORTANT! There's no reason why I should have to pay $7.99 for a ONE subject notebook and my child can't use it comfortably. Staples is really missing out on a clear untapped market by not providing things SPECIFICALLY for LEFT HANDED PEOPLE. those scissors that say left OR rite are NOT for left handed persons. I was advised of that by occupational therapist. True left handed supplies shouldn't be something found thru Amazon OR sending money back home ( PuertoRico ) to have TRUE LEFT HANDED items shipped to me here in NY! I should be able to walk into any supplies store and pick up a left handed notebook. I shouldn't have to sit on the floor and poor thru baskets of scissors to find a TRUE LEFT HANDED SCISSOR! I still purchased items and the staff was very helpful. It's just a shame that in 2022 I can't get a left handed...

I went into this staples to ship a small package. I stood at the shipping counter as the first and only person in line for about 10 minutes as the 2 women working were having a personal conversation. When they finally got around to helping me they printed a shipping label for my package, which weighed less than one pound (0 lbs 9.8 oz). They asked what shipping option I wanted and I said “there’s no rush, I want the cheapest available option.” They said okay it’s $38. That seemed like a steep price to me so again I said “I’d like the cheapest option please.” I was advised that was the cheapest. I paid, they gave me my receipt, and I went on my way. I come home and look at the receipt to see that not only is the shipping label incorrect, but they charged me for 2 day air, which is one of the more expensive options, certainly not the cheapest. Between the customer service experience, and the blatant disregard for the customers requests, and the fact I just threw away $38 because the item will not arrive at the correct address, I’ll never go to this particular...

I have been going to this Staples for over 4 years for personal and work related items. Almost every time I go to the store they have something advertised that they do not actually have. The copy and print section always has a line and the self service copiers never work. Today's experience was the last straw. Advertised was a 1TB removable storage drive for $59.00. I went to the store to buy it and they had at least 6 on display, I asked for assistance and of course they did not have this product, only the $100.00 version which they tried to convince me to buy. I spoke to a manager and he said the company offering the product requires Staples to have the product boxes on display even if they do not actually have it and that he could only offer me the other version (still 1TB!) for $40.00 more. Bait and switch, don't waste your time. Absolutely never going back to this store or any Staples for...
