2 years ago I had this wonderful store rated at a 5 stars. I had to lower this down to 1 and I am so disappointed. I have purchased tabletop games, MTG, card boxes with absolutely no issues. Super friendly service and wonderful conversations.
Lately I have gotten into painting figures and though of great escape as the had a wide variety of colors available and merchandise. I have gone into this store three separate times. The first experience I was not even greeted. I looked over the supplies and I was goingto ask questions but the person at the desk was so stuck in their phone I didn't want to bother. Second time, same experience, no greeting, very little information given on the colors and merchandise I was asking questions about, I figured maybe their new? Third time did it for me. Again. No greeting! No welcome, nothing! Two people behind the desk having a conversation and not a polite one at that ( I am by no means a prude, but their is a time and a place for such language.) I asked questions again and was just met with sarcasm, barely any answers and just plain leaving frustrated. I attempted to shop local for my supplies but...
Read moreBeen a long time customer of GEA for about 8 years now. In my opinion it feels as though things dropped off after Covid happened. That being said, being a patron for that long has no leeway with the staff in any way whatsoever. My last visit I bought some card packs and cracked some of them. I wanted to return what I did not open, but once again they are very strict about having a receipt. I never get one because I like to think I’m helping not cutting down trees. Which is maddeningly annoying because I’ve been a customer for so long (no exaggeration I have spent thousands of dollars at a time at this store and that’s the only time I’ve ever felt my sense of customer loyalty mean anything) and it was just the previous day when I made my purchase. I can tell you exactly how much it costs and show you the transaction statement from my bank. I can tell you the clerks name and what time I came in. Trust me, i doubt people usually return packs of cards unless they’re desperate. It will be unlikely that I return to the store. Maybe offer receipts...
Read moreMy daughter (currently 6 years old) and I tried the escape room a couple of months ago because we are fans of hidden object and puzzle solving computer games. We played with two other people we had never met and we had an absolute blast! You might not think it, but kids are observant is ways adults aren't, so she was a real asset to the team. We just went back today for the Murder Mystery room and, even though we knew a few things about the layout of the space, it did not diminish our fun! Plus, we got to meet three new people and try to use the strengths of the group to solve the riddles. We can't wait for the next room they put together! The cost initially put me off a touch but, having done it twice now, I can say that it has been well worth it for such a unique experience with such an amazing staff! The woman who ran our adventure both times is really good at reading the group and finding just the right hints to give to keep the group progressing without giving...
