Gong Cha — Attraction in Town of Brookhaven

I know this franchise from NYC area, but will probably not visit this location again. I went during the grand opening a while ago, and it was understandably very busy, so grace given for that, but the employees were not very pleasant. I thought it was because it was so busy and they were probably stressed. I gave them another chance a few weeks later, but similar issues. I went again today because the app said there was a promotion. last time I was in, months ago, they still didn't have the app set up, so I called ahead to ask. the employee was unhelpful, and said"yes we have promotions, the details are in the offer, I don't know anything about a 3rd party app" (it's not a 3rd party app it's an official Gong Cha app) When I get there, the employee was decidedly unhelpful and seemed annoyed I was asking for clarification and told me "just put your number it its whatever comes up, I don't know that that (the official app) is" so I left. The product is good but the employees are slow, rude, and all have nail extensions which (from working in food service) is not allowed per the Health Department for sanitary reasons. I visited the place with my children at the request of my teenage daughter. Despite both of my kids having severe allergies, they still had an enjoyable time. My daughter chose the passionfruit green tea with black tapioca pearls, and she absolutely loved it. Meanwhile, my younger son needed a more kid-friendly beverage, so with the assistance of the staff, we opted for the dirty brown sugar milk tea. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The shop was clean, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this...

I ordered a dirty brown sugar milk tea and they gave me milk tea only. Came with no balls, no brown sugar, and no foam on top. It tasted and looked like milk, i think she just gave me milk. I am very sad. The creme brulee tasted only like tea no other flavoring. The only good thing here is the waffle (if they remember to put tapioca in it). If you want good boba go to the mall (5 min away). 8 dollars for a small cup of milk makes me cry. update me and everyone who got drinks there feel like we're dying.
