Tiki Action Park — Attraction in Town of Brookhaven

First time here very excited. Took my family for a Saturday fun day. I'm gonna start off by parking. There is parking available , I'm not sure if the fast food joint next to it shares the parking lot but there is a separation. I notice people walking out of tiki action park going to vehicle in the fast food restaurant parking lot. We all know that would be at your own risk. As we walk inside we see video games (same as dave and busters but not as many and it's the same concept. Fill game card with credits) by the way game card is free with purchase. 👍that's a good start. They also have ticket 🎟 system to turn them in for prizes. The lines at the counter are sometimes not stable. We got 4 different intitled individuals that skipped everyone to go to counter. The counter person did not inform them of anything just took care of them. The workers are very young. They look like they are baby faced 16 to 22 years of age. The only person that looks like an adult , I seen walking around with a tape measure on belt was the guy that fixes everything. We did mini golf and go karts ,video games. The Lazer maze thing was out of service 😒. Disappointing. We still had amazing time on the 18 hole 🕳 golf ⛳️ just be sure to bring insect repellant I got chewed up on the golf courses. Bad. I was under the impression that they sprayed or did something to prevent or keep levels down especially when you got the multiple mosquito-borne illnesses like westnile especially in mosquito season. I was gonna say something but there were only kids that work there and I don't think they know how to address the concerns. I just killed off the golfing course on holes that were over powering with mosquito and walked through that day especially that my duaghteris disabledand has not as strong immune system as we do.(for the mosquito bites). We went to the go karts 4 times . Gas engine. It was fun. Then we hit the video games which wasn't to bad . We enjoyed it. We do feel like the bathroom could be updated.mens bathroom has 1 toilet 1 urinal. For the entire establishment. Thankfully there was no line . I’m usually not one to complain but my group and I were seriously disappointed! DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!!! We booked an afterprom special which included food, drinks, ice cream, music…etc. my group booked for around 12:30 and we were greeted by tired, dry, and simply bored employees who were basically asleep on the desk! I understand it’s late but employees have a commitment to work that there getting paid for!!!!!!! A little smile couldn’t hurt and my group was uncomfortable on how we were directed and treated! On the after prom flyer it stated we could have our music played but when asked the staff were blah and said it couldn’t be done! We were also not allowed to eat our pizza or drinks (which the pizza boxes were open when we got there) The arcade is extremely run down, dirty, and some games didn’t even work! You have a total of 2 hours for your party! We started with go karts which were okay, nothing to special then moved onto golfing. The mini golf course was a big disappointment to be honest. Nothing special and way too long! We went back to go karting after! The employees got a little rude with us at that time and were extremely annoyed! They even told us that they would kick us off if we crashed again but it’s literally go karting and one small slip causes a crash! Expect it to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! None of us had our phone on us so we didn’t know what time it is! The employees running the go karts just let us continue intill our time was up. Which pissed me off the most is the manager working at the time actually came out before our time was up and was talking to the employees. The manger should have warned us since we have not eaten or had our ice cream yet! It’s unbelievable that my party payed 68$ each just to not get of pizza, music, ice cream, or drinks. When we came back inside they were practically ready to leave, all cleaned up, and had there bags with them. When I asked about the pizza the manger was rude and said we couldn’t get it. Respectfully we should have gotten the boxes to go bc we payed for that. Overall my group and I experienced here was EXTREMELY disappointing. Save Your Money! I went with a friend after seeing they had Go Karts. The website advertises their karts going up to 32 MPH so we wanted to have some fun. Three kids were working the track, which was a very boring figure eight that cost $10 per person per race. My kart was clearly broken as it went half the speed as everyone else. Racing along with us was a group of teenagers looking to do what teenagers do best. Not only did I get aggressively bumped twice but three of them decided to play bumper cars the entire time and where were the three workers, texting the whole time. Imagine bringing a younger child onto the double kart and not having staff making sure you're safe. When I went to complain to the manager he proceeded to tell me the malfunctioning kart is not is problem and kids bump all the time and that's the way it is. Not only is this not safe but it is overpriced and boring.

*Since I can't make another review I'll respond to the owner here. I did see the incorrect speeds but regardless when a go kart is going less than half the speed of the other ones something is wrong and for the manager to dismiss it and say you don't do your own maintenance on them is both irresponsible and unapologetic.
