I am truly grateful for the presence of Local Church in our lives. It has become a sanctuary where my family and I find solace, support, and a genuine sense of belonging. This heartfelt review comes from a place of deep gratitude for the exceptional experiences we have had within these sacred walls.

From the moment we stepped foot in this church, we were greeted with open arms and warm smiles. Our children, who were initially apprehensive about attending church, quickly grew to love it. They now eagerly anticipate our weekly visits and often refer to it as their second home. This speaks volumes about the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that this church has fostered.

What sets this church apart, however, is its extraordinary dedication to providing a safe and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities. Our son, who has been on a journey of special education services, has found immense comfort and joy here. The church has gone above and beyond to accommodate his needs, ensuring that his experience is not only safe but also filled with fun and love. The care and understanding shown towards him have been nothing short of remarkable.

I wholeheartedly recommend anyone and everyone to give this church a chance, even if they have had negative experiences with organized religion in the past or have never set foot in a church before. This community is a shining example of what it truly means to be followers of Christ. The messages preached are relevant to our modern lives, and they have provided my family with the strength, guidance, and hope we needed during challenging times.

In addition to the spiritual nourishment, Local Church has been instrumental in repairing and restoring our family bonds. Through the teachings of Christ, we have learned valuable lessons on forgiveness, love, and compassion that have positively impacted our relationships. Our family has truly been transformed through the love and grace we have found within these walls.

I was loyal to another church for years. Unfortunately as time changes, so do priorities. I found myself longing for a new home to worship Jesus. I hopped around between about 5 different churches before I found Local Church. Right away I new this was what I had been wanting in my head. Here is a brief summary of what you can expect if you come to Local Church:

One hour service either 9:00 or 11:00. This is broken up as follows. 15 minutes of worship music with a talented band, a 40 minute sermon which teaching practical applications of the lords message through the text, follow by a 5 minute closing worship song.

Extremely friendly staff and volunteers. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. And not in that fake "i need to be" sort of way. You have an overwhelming feeling of acceptance and appreciation from everyone in the building.

BREAKFAST! - Coffee, tea, and BAGELS!

Powerful messages. It is apparent Pastors Mike and Emily work diligently preparing for service each Sunday. They usually have sermons that last 2-3 weeks and work on teaching valuable lessons that can be applied in the real world interpreted through the text of the bible. These sermons are both informative and entertaining!

Young, Professional, progressive Pastors. Mike and Emily are quintessential consummate professionals in the field of preaching. While they are young, and the dress code is relaxed and non-judgmental (a wonderful thing), don't let this fool you as any lack of respect for the lord. They are preaching his word better than any I have seen, and don't need fancy clothing and adornments to do it.

Fantastic Child care - All the volunteers take great care of the children and always have fantastic church related activities for them to do each week.

Groups - while I have not officially joined any small groups yet I have heard about them and it seems there are plenty of ways to get involved throughout the week

Community involvement - Once again no direct experience but I have seen a lot of their community involvement through pictures and videos. This church loves to get out in the LOCAL community and make an impact!

In summary, my wife, two kids, and myself all love this church beyond words and are happy to call them our place of faith and worship. I look forward to years of worship, community service, education, reflection, friendships, and memory building at...

My family of 5 has been attending Local Church for just over a year now and I seriously can’t say enough good things about it. I grew up catholic but in typical Long Islander fashion, we step in and out of faith and lose that ‘respect’ for the church because of life and other reasons. LC has restored my faith and brought me back to a faith filled life and I’m forever grateful. One of the BIGGEST things that I truly love about LC is the “Local Kids” program they have for the hour during service. My 3 kids have an hour to learn about Jesus (appropriate to their learning level), make friends and grow their own community while my husband and I are able to actually enjoy the service and really soak it all in and build on our community (something I was always seeking and missing in my life). My oldest son is 7 and has special needs - LC accommodates everyone with their Inclusion Program and has a buddy in place for him for the duration of his classroom time, it’s amazing.
