Gabe's — Attraction in Town of Cheektowaga

Clean store and well-stocked unfortunately the manager was walking around with a shopping cart couldn't bother saying hello to anyone she kept on doing her rounds Around the store and kept to herself. Some of the prices are great on clothing the prices on furniture expensive some food prices are not so great some are good there's some things that you can buy at the dollar store as in Dollar Tree that you can find here that are much higher. As you proceed to the counter where there were three Associates doing absolutely nothing up there and only one associate on the sales floor besides the manager no one could greet you ask if you found everything they just cast you out and told you how much it was. That is not customer service people wake up I'm not highly impressed with this being a sister store of TJ Maxx and Marshalls I can see this place doing just as well as A J Wright once did and they were not in...

Gabe's is a discount department store that reminds me, of the old Hill's stores back in the days. You have your home section, clothing and outdoor merchandise. Unlike the old Hill's department store, Gabe's sells some name brand items. They also sell items that are irregulars, so be very careful when choosing your clothing. I also feel that the quality of the clothing is not that stellar. What I mean by that is this, you maybe able to wear their clothes for a season. Maybe two seasons, but it soley depends on the garments you choose. But when everything is said and done, I honestly don't see the clothes lasting that long. Their limited furniture section isn't something to brag about, you actually can find the same furniture pieces...

I found a couple of things. The store personality isn't friendly but the staff is, so that's what's most important anyway. It needs atmosphere, something to draw me in, and not just the lower price. Reminds me of a lge Aldis. Nothing is set up well. Sections aren't set up properly. It needs pizzazz. That's just MY opinion. Crocs shouldn't be $20.00 either. So some prices aren't suitable. $14.99 flip-flops?? But no place is perfect. I will shop there again when more time permits. My friend had had surgery so she cdnt walk far or around the whole store so we had to cut it short. The stock girl/woman was very helpful in getting the right size shoes for me as only 2 sizes were on the shelf. So kudos to...
