Glue Factory — Attraction in Town of Chili

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little upset by the lack of customer service I received. My mom and I walked in and the two women there were talking behind the counter, no one greeted us. We continues to walk around the shop and not one staff asked if they could help us for the first 10-15 minutes! What really upset me was someone walked in after us and they were greeted right away. I've worked in retail and customer service is super important to me. We were acknowledged when we walked by the register but only to be told about the Christmas items being on sale. We weren't asked if we could be helped in finding anything. I would understand if they were busy and we weren't greeted but there were 2 employees and only 3 customers in the whole store!

They had lots of items on clearance, however their merchandise was very expensive. I don't know how they will be able to stay in business. A butter dish I picked up was Polish Pottery (I believe) and it was marked at $103. Their clothes were cute but out of my price range. I think they really need to hone in on a target market, I don't know how many people live lavishly in the Gates/Chili area but I can't see them staying in business long with how...

A holiday coupon was published in the Democrat and Chronicle on 11/15/15 stating Holiday Open House in Progress 20% off store wide. There were no date or timeframe restrictions printed. On 11-21-15 I visited the Glue Factory with a friend who wanted to purchase a gift for his nephew and neighbors. When he attempted to use the coupon, he was denied being told it was only for Black Friday.. This was not on the coupon. The clerk went on to say it was an error, but would not honor the coupon. She did offer 10% but would not honor the full 20% . My friend came from Pittsford to shop at the Glue Factory but for this unprofessional way of doing business, he nor I will ever shop there again. Regardless of who made the error, it is the Glue Factory's responsibility to honor what was published. You might consider reading Customer Service 101 and the definition...
