We had the absolute pleasure of working a wedding at The Terrace at the Waters Edge in East Glenville as part of our DJ team at Empire State Events — and wow, what a fantastic experience from start to finish! The venue itself is fantastic. The layout is elegant yet welcoming, and the atmosphere throughout the night was perfect. One of the best parts? You can step outside for a quiet moment and take in the peaceful view of the Mohawk River. It's the kind of setting that adds a little extra magic to the event for both guests and vendors. The staff here is top-tier. Shelly, our main point of contact, was phenomenal — professional, responsive, and made sure every detail went off without a hitch. The whole team brought great energy and a clear passion for what they do. Huge shoutout to Arianna and Jesse behind the bar, along with Patty, Ari, Dani, Trisha, Casandra, and Chef Fabio — everyone was friendly, attentive, and a joy to work alongside. Although I didn’t get to try the short rib since I was working another event, our crew couldn’t stop talking about it — apparently some of the best short rib they’ve had at any wedding. So if you’re a foodie, you’re in great hands here. All around, The Terrace at the Waters Edge is a top-notch venue with a team that truly cares about creating a flawless experience. Did not end up having wedding here . We thought the place was very nice but the person who meet us and went over everything was so unprofessional. I can't even imagine having the wedding in her hands. She was 20 minutes late. Had no handouts. No information about anything basically said. Here's the room. Hear the bathrooms. Do you have any questions? I have been to a few since then and this was by far the most unorganized and unprofessional. She also told us she only works Monday through Friday so don't contacting her any other time except for during business hours. We have been to quite a few since then and nobody else has ever said something like that to us and she also said I don't deal in paper so everything will be online didn't like that either. No other venues that ever said this to us. Just wanted someone to know because maybe you need to look at the person running your wedding venue. We really wanted to like it because such a nice spot but couldn't imagine leaving wedding planning and that...

My now husband Seth and I got married at the Terrace in May 2022 and we wouldn’t change a thing about our whole experience. Taylor and all of her staff were very accommodating and as the bride and groom we had a server assigned to us. This allowed us to enjoy some of our cocktail hour apps/drinks, while visiting with guests. Throughout the wedding process Taylor was very prompt with answering any questions and did her very best to accommodate any requests which we had. The day of our wedding Taylor and her staff set up all of our decor just as was discussed and used the extra decor to take the room over the top. We would recommend using Taylor and her staff to anyone!

As a venue as a whole we loved the indoor/outdoor feel we were able to capture. We had our ceremony outdoors as well as cocktail hour.
