I've lived in Orange County for 20-plus years and never paid this place the time of day. Now I have a child of my own and decided to bring him there while searching around for things to do with him. The museum is really nice very authentic and gives a ton of History. A ton of displays with real jockey uniforms and information that all of us found interesting and learn something from. ( my mother, my child, and myself) It's tragic that there was a fire there and a lot of damage not too long ago but luckily no horses were injured. Hands down the best part of the whole experience was being able to walk through the stables to meet all the horses and look at the track that they used to race on. The exhibits are beautifully presented,the interactive ones are truly fun,and each little movie we watched was well done and interesting. We spent about 3 hours there and the time flew by. The docents were friendly and knowledgeable and yet we were free to explore at our own pace. We have had three Standardbreds over the years and reading about horses in their pedigrees was very meaningful for us.
