The renovations alone are stellar in terms of decor and furniture. The reservations were delayed 15 min. The dining room is LOUD. Every table was filled, yet the seating was comfortable. There is no privacy. The noise bounces off of everything. They should consider getting noise buffers. The wait staff was very busy, and seemed understaffed. Something that was persistently occurring throughout our entire experience was a constant dimming and flickering of the light system throughout the restaurant. It was going on while we were waiting for a table, and throughout our experience of sitting at our table. One server brought over bread and a delicious dip. It was very good. The bread was also very good. Something unexpected was the menus are apple tablets. The last thing I wanted was to look at a screen in a fine dinning restaurant. Fortunately our order was still taken in the traditional way, yet it was still very confusing why it wasn't a printed menu, why the digital tablets in the first place, and wondering who has the money to buy all those tablets, and CHARGE them. It seemed like a waste of financial and electrical resources and remained a contrast to our expectations of a fine dinning experience. We ordered a side of truffle fries, the Jumbo Shrimp over Risotto, and the Branzino Valentina. The presentation of the fries was very bland. It looked and tasted like fast food french fries with a mild taste of truffle. Its presentation could have used a little garnish. The waitress stopped by to inform us that our food would be coming out shortly. About 5 min went by, and she returned and repeated the same message, then again a third time after a few minutes. I decided to turn on my stop watch to assess how long it would take. Then the fire drill occurred. The blasting alarms went off in their screeching pitch. And everyone in the restaurant sat there and carried on. No manager came and spoke with the crowd, no one was told to evacuate, no one was informed as to what was going on. The screeching pitch continued and so did the noise of conversations of the other customers. I evacuated the building, as one should do when not knowing if there was truly a safety issue. Only one small group of 4 people chose to also leave on their own account. After a few minutes the alarm’s sound turned off but alarm lights continued blinking. 5 minutes later a police officer walked into the building. The waitress came out to inform us that the alarms had stopped. I noted that they were still blinking and asked her if it was safe to enter, and commented on the fact that no one was asked to evacuate the building. She returned to the building then asked if we would like our food to go. We accepted that option. Another waiter came out to check on us. I asked him why people were not asked to evacuate. He mentioned that the owner did not instruct them to. I went inside and approached the owner, and asked him in front of the police offer why people weren’t asked to evacuate the building. He explained that there was smoke in the kitchen that caused it to go off. I asked him if he was an inspector. The police officer interjected saying that he arrived shortly after. I informed the police officer that I saw him enter the building and mentioned that no one was asked to evacuate, and that during our visit the lights were flickering during our entire experience. He replied, “Why would you say that?” I repeated myself, “Because the lights were.” Then, what appeared as an inspector started to tell the owner that this was the “2nd time in a week, first that now this" and that it was unacceptable. I left the building. The server was kind enough to bring out our food and comped our meal, (which was polite). Ignoring the fast-food truffle fries, all other food was excellent. There are some VERY serious management concerns that should be addressed immediately. I’d be willing to return and to change my review, pending that improvements are made.

When we first arrived with reservations our table was not ready, so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks as I noticed the live music was horrible, I thought it was a joke, which was actually quite amusing. The ambiance reminded me of my Aunt Dolores’ house- stuck in the 80s, it was tacky, did not make much sense but also that was quite amusing as well. The server was really nice with great customer service once we were seated. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana for an appetizer and it was mad good! I unfortunately ordered the mushroom Alfredo and it was very bland, it needed salt at the least. My date and I did not finish our Alfredo because it was not good. The dessert and drinks were great. All in all, I would not come back here for the price it was definitely not worth it. As a Sicilian I would rather just make my grandmas recipes at home because it tastes better and I know exactly what is in it for way less the cost. I am vegetarian so maybe the flesh options are better choices for this specific restaurant.

I was hesitant to give it 5 stars because of how long it took to get our food, but it was Valentines Day and I understand it was probably hectic in the kitchen. We were seated right away. The menu was a good size and not over or underwhelming. Our server was active and quick to be sure we got things (kitchen/bar allowing of course). The food was VERY good. I wasn't disappointed with my meal at all. I got Mini Beef Wellingtons as my starter - while they were very yummy I do wish there was more beef in them. My main course was the Filet Minion and it was cooked and seasoned great. My dessert was NY style Cheesecake and it was good. My girlfriend got a Berry Argula salad to start which she seemed to enjoy. Her main course was Chicken Limoncello which I tried and it was juicy and tasty. Her desert was Grandma Cake which she said was good. Aside from the drinks being a tad pricy, I would certainly recommend this restaurant for someone looking for great food and a good atmosphere.

Lunch at Limoncello to celebrate my husband's birthday was a memorable experience. The service was excellent, starting with the owner, the GM Chris, Julian, and everyone else on the staff. They were so attentive and kind and down-to-earth, all just lovely. The dining room is beautiful, spacious, clean, the windows make the space very inviting and calming. Guests are each given an iPad as that is where the menu is- I especially liked this because it's very easy to sanitize one screen rather than entire menus, or print thousands of menus that are disposable. We ordered the calamari, grilled octopus and hot antipasto. The octopus and calamari were excellent, the hot antipasto was pretty average. The sauces that came with the calamari were delicious and hot temperature-wise, as they should be. I don't like dipping hot, crispy calamari into cold marinara like in most restaurants, so kudos to the kitchen for this seemingly minor detail that makes a big difference in a dish. For lunch, we had the short ribs, lasagne, and the fruti di mare. The presentation on all the dishes was also very nice. Everything was delicious, except the fruti di mare was not my favorite version of the dish which I've had in many restaurants. The mixed seafood dish comes with a fra diavolo sauce/broth, as pictured in the menu, but I asked the waiter if it's possible to change the sauce and told him tomato-based sauces are not my favorite. He suggested "scampi", which I LOVE because of the garlicky, lemony flavor, so I enthusiastically said yes! Well, there was literally a boatload of beautiful seafood, but there was no scampi sauce anywhere...it was neither garlicy, not lemony. Instead, it came in a watery broth, with a strange mix of zucchini, onions, and LOTS of carrots, all of which I had to remove from my plate- not because I don't like those vegetables, but I just didn't want them in this dish. Perhaps my idea of "scampi" is not accurate or not the same as their chef's, but anywhere I've had scampi- and I've had plenty- its base flavors are garlic, lemon, olive oil, parsley....I guess next time I'll clarify or just won't ask for any modifications. Other than that, everything was lovely and we will definitely go back. The prices are on the high side, but it's a very nice place to go for a special occasion and their...

I was very excited to return to my roots and enjoy a birthday meal for my mom with friends. I worked for several years in this establishment before it was taken over by Limoncello and I will say that the food was exceptional despite a little extra salt in the sauces and the atmosphere is wonderful. Upgrades is an understatement but the intrinsic charm is still there. I appreciate leaving the bay window in the dining room as that is one of my favor parts of the place. However, the service was horrible and described by my mom who doesn't usually complain as "down right bordering on rude." Our waiter, Jose, seemed like he couldn't be bothered with us. Our meal of just apps and main course took 3 hours mostly because we were waiting for the waiter. The rest of the staff was wonderful and attentive. We waited 25 minutes to order and we only got to order after several attempts at getting his attention and asking if we could. We had to ask if there were specials and what the "of the day" options were. He did offer us drinks which came out quickly but barely got asked for refills. When we did say we would take a refill, it never got brought to the table. It was very obvious that he was more interested in his "regulars" as they came in after us and ordered their meals before us. Additionally, when it came time to pay he lost my credit card when he dropped it on the chair. I wouldn't mind this so much but it took 15 minutes for him to even acknowledge that he lost the card. I'm glad it was on the empty chair at my table and not on the floor where it could have easily been walked off with by someone. Overall it was a great experience and the food was very good, albeit pricey for the area. I would go back but I would make sure I wasn't in Jose area. Thank you to the new owners to giving life to a place I gave a lot of weekends to 25 years ago. I look forward to...
