While visiting Albany I needed a dress for my mothers funeral and stumbled upon Circles after visiting a nearby mall. Albany isn’t known for fashion and after visiting Circles, I realized Albany also isn’t known for basic things like customer respect or customer services.
First, I wasn’t greeted when I walked into the store. Strange since the store was empty and at least 3 helpers were roaming around.
After I found a suit I liked, one of the shop helpers tried to wrestle it out of my hand and insisted I leave it at the front desk. This happened 2 more times while I walked around with the suit in my hand for the purpose of color and style matching my perspective purchase with a shirt.
When I finally found items I wanted to purchase and gave the cashier my card; she pretended there was some type of error and she needed my debit card pin number. She didn’t allow me to enter my own pin number and wanted me to give it to her.
When I couldn’t decide between two outfit options, I asked the shop helper about their return option. She told me there were no returns. However the receipt clearly states there’s a 10 day return policy.
The entire visit was odd, and laughable. To be harassed by shop keepers in a one-horse town at a store that’s laughable in every major city wasn’t how I planned on...
Read moreCircles is wildly unprofessional!!
My girlfriend has been to this store 3 times in the past two weeks trying to buy a dress for a wedding. The first time she went in she was dressed well and was treated well! The staff was friendly and professional. The second time she returned to pick up the dress, she was in her outfit from work and not dressed in name brand items. The staff was rude and very unhelpful but she didn’t care because she got the dress she wanted! Today she returned to get a bra for the dress. The staff was wildly unprofessional. She wasn’t wearing her Gucci bag today and the staff members eyed her up and down and were so dismissive. She felt so uncomfortable that she decided to leave. Circles has many fine options and nice brands! But let’s get this straight... this is Albany not Manhattan... a lot of well off people in the area aren’t going to dress up just to go buy a bra. And to be fair, we can get much nicer items at other stores. This isn’t Bloomingdales on 5th ave. The staff clearly has a vision for the “type” of people that should shop here. And my girlfriend and I will no longer be shopping here. I’d rather drive to manhattan to get these brands than to be judged by a retail...
Read moreI showed up to Circles, nearly in tears, after my suitcase was lost by my airline. I had a wedding the next day and had, literally, nothing to wear. The entire staff was kind and calming helping select me a number of dresses to try out. I found the most stunning Staud dress. On top of that, they had the perfect pair of matching heels and a beautiful clutch. Their incredible staff helped me find all new makeup, a pair of jeans, and a cute top to wear. I was in awe of their selection, their range of items, how trendy everything was but most importantly - I was overwhelmed with gratitude for their staff. Whether it was a kind compliment, a thoughtful selection, a free perfume sample, or a nice smile - I felt taken care of. I can’t recommend this store enough. I will make a point to always stop in when I fly through Albany and I truly think the area is lucky to have such an amazing store. Oh, and I was showered in compliments at the wedding for my dress and told multiple times I was the best dressed 🥹 Thank you Circles for turning my nightmare...
