PSA: DO NOT BUY SHIPPING INSURANCE. TL;DR, the insurance you purchase won’t be honored unless they pack it. Also, noticing a few recent reviews that this place is under new management. So maybe be careful about trusting older reviews. Caveat emptor. Also, don’t believe the seemingly concerned response from the owner. I emailed as instructed and no one has ever reached out.
My cousin shipped a large framed piece of art and when it arrived the glass was broken. She had bought $1k in insurance so I figured no big deal, I’ll just file an insurance claim. I reached out to UPS and they said I had to contact the store, so I did. The employee at the store asked me if they had packed the art and when I said “no” they said that the broken glass wasn’t covered. I asked them what the point of insurance was if it only covered things they packed. Why on earth would they let me buy useless insurance?! So I asked them this and they asked for a copy of the receipt. Then nothing. So I called again and they said I needed to send pics of the broken item which I did. Still nothing. So I called again and was informed that my email had been filed in the wrong place and they would let their manager know. Nothing still. So I called again (we’re now weeks out from the original email) and I was informed that because they didn’t pack it, the insurance I purchased couldn’t be used. So once again, I asked what was the point of all those emails and getting insurance if it was only applicable if they packed it. Seems like the employees are incompetent and yet again, greed outweighs...
Read moreI will not ever do business with the UPS Store on Western Avenue because there’s a lacking of customer service and business acumen! I was charged $314.00 for a mail box that has been revoked. While speaking with Waseem, the co-owner about the box renewal, a young Middle Eastern boy kept interjecting himself into our conversation. I told him to stop talking because we are two adults and don’t need his input in the conversation. I paid for the box and today at 3:31 PM my box rental was cancelled and the young Middle Eastern boy told me I was not going to get my money back. Stay tuned for the update. I am filing a complaint with the New York Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau and posting this information on Google about their bad business practices! Waseem the new owners refused to give my money back but I got it back. This is an unethical business practice on behalf of the UPS store owner to take my money and not provide me the mailbox service and it was sanctioned by the UPS Corporation in Atlanta. Truth crushed to the earth will rise again, which justifies Carlyle in saying no lies can live forever.
I did get my money back!
Sadly, I wouldn’t do business with the new owners as they don’t have a...
Read moreSince changing ownership, this UPS store has become increasingly frustrating. I have tried submitting prints online, only to not have them ready. I called and the order couldn’t be found and I was told to come in and “we would print it”. This kind of defeated the purpose of having it ready to quickly pick up, so I just ate the couple dollar cost and never went to get it.
I mostly have Amazon returns and there is normally a line out the door of people waiting. I am the person who has their QR codes stored in my camera roll, in order, so I can quickly swipe and show the code to scan. Today I did just that and the person behind the counter was huffing and puffing at each return. He also did this to the woman in front of me and she told him it wasn’t the end of the world, but he ignored her. I had multiple returns all lined up and 3 were packaged by myself and only required a label to be put on. I just left shaking my head. This is the closest UPS store to me and I prefer to drive to the Colonie store if I have time because the service is excellent there. On a positive note, there is one nice man with glasses that works there who is always pleasant… hope that you get him when you’re...
