Aziz Hot Chicken & Kebab — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I was in the area in the evening and feeling really hungry, so I decided to try this Afghan restaurant. However, it’s hard to call what I experienced Afghan food.

The chef seemed like an amateur with little understanding of flavorful food or cooking in general. I ordered the chicken tikka and kofta kebab. Cooking chicken shouldn’t be that difficult, but they managed to mess it up—Tikka kebab was smelly and undercooked. The kofta kebab appeared crispy and well-cooked on the outside, but the inside felt raw and uncooked.

I also paid extra for qabuli, which is a topping of caramelized carrots and raisins. Even that was poorly done—it looked like they just tossed in some raw carrots from a salad.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I’m usually quite forgiving when it comes to taste, but serving raw and smelly food is a dealbreaker for me. I won’t be returning...

This is the perfect place to bring your family and friends to have a delicious dinner. Inside it’s very spacious and comfortable and they have booths and regular seating as well. The food itself is marinated to perfection and the sauces add much more flavor making the kebab even tastier. They make the naan (bread) fresh ALWAYS and it tastes amazing! Their rice and salad is always fresh as well! They even cater and deliver online through GrubHub, UberEats and DoorDash. They make family platters and give amazing portions for the price! Their customer service is amazing ensuring you have a great overall experience there. Other kebab places can’t compare to this place, they have the BEST FOOD at the BEST PRICES!!! 100% recommended...

Stopped in on a whim because I was craving Afghan food but was too far from my usual spots in Queens. While I can’t speak to its authenticity, I can say that compared to other Afghan restaurants I’ve tried, this place is super tasty. The food was excellent—flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. In fact, we enjoyed our meal so much that we ended up ordering takeaway after dinner!
