I recently moved to Long Island and decided to try Dry M Salon for a Russian manicure, as I usually go to the city for my nails. I called the day before to confirm they could do ombré nails, and the owner assured me they could.

When I arrived, Olga, the nail technician, was excellent and genuinely tried her best. However, the machine used for the ombré design kept malfunctioning because it was battery-operated and wouldn’t spray correctly. I ended up spending 3 hours at the salon, and while one hand turned out okay, the other looked awful. Unfortunately, I had to leave because I was late for another appointment.

I messaged the owner afterward to explain my experience. He kindly offered 50% off my next service, which I appreciated. However, the next day, three of my nails chipped—something that has never happened with my Russian gel ombré manicures before. I asked for 50% back on the service that was provided & he has not answered back.

For $120, this was a very disappointing experience. Despite the owner’s gesture, I feel like my time and money were wasted. I will not be returning to this salon and will stick to my trusted city salon...

I found this place online. so I when there thinking that it’s was going to be a good experience because I left myself fallow the good reviews. This place is located in a very old building. The elevator was not working so I have to go up the stairs six floors.. The staff was not the friendly at all only a guy who check if I have an appointment was the only one who greeted me the rest off the staff don’t even try to acknowledge you at all. The only thing I like was how they clean your cuticles but they are horrible on the way the nail polish is applied ☹️. I tell the girls who was doing my nails that i didn’t like the way my nail look and all she try was to validate her work not the customer. I will not recommend this place at all.
