Update Post 2023 "Renovations": So, Echo was closed for the entire summer due to ongoing renovations. Well, the renovations are FINALLY done, and Echo is back open! I thought the reno would be at lot more substantial, but here are the updates to the indoor pool area. There are still two pools (main pool with swimming lanes and deep-end pool with diving boards). I thought there were three diving boards before, but there are 2 now.
They have repainted the indoor pool area dark blue and white, which gives it a cleaner/collegiate feel. They have replaced the chairs on the deck with blue chairs that match the decor. They are simple and comfy. There are no more palm trees on the pool deck. They have replaced the analog clock at the entrance of the indoor pool with a ditigal clock. It feels like they also replaced the pool liners, because the one in the main pool has a lot less grip and makes the bottom of the pool a bit more slippery if you are exercising/walk/running the pool for exercise. The water feels nice and luke warm, but it feels like they are running the AC on the pool deck. Please turn the cold air down ECHO! The saunas and steam rooms are back open! This is still our go to pool in the summer and winter seasons.
Echo w/ Covid Restrictions: This is still by far one of the best facilities around. My husband, son and I went today around noon. Of course masks are required. The fees are still the same. The locker rooms, saunas and steam rooms are closed, but there is a changing space on the male and female side. We showered and came in our swimsuits under our clothing because the showers aren't available. There are no chairs on the pool deck, but some families brought their own foldable chairs. There was barely anyone there, so social distancing was easy. We placed our stuff between 2 palm trees. The deep end is closed because of covid, but the 3 swimming lanes are available and the other half of the pool. You have to sign up for the swimming lanes in 30 mins to 1 hr increments. 2 lifeguards were present at all times. The water was great, warm and the entire space was clean. Echo...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of spending a sunny afternoon at the Echo Park Pool, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff who were not only welcoming but also incredibly helpful. Their positive attitude set the tone for a fantastic day ahead.
One of the standout features of this facility is the cleanliness of the pools. It’s evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment, making it a joy to swim and relax. The water was crystal clear, and the surrounding areas were tidy, which really added to the overall experience.
The size of the facility is impressive, offering a variety of pools both indoors and outdoors. Parking is often a concern at busy facilities, but not at Echo Park Pool. There was plenty of parking available, making it hassle-free to come and go. The fair entry fee was another pleasant surprise; it’s affordable and gives you access to all the amenities.
The combination of clean pools, friendly staff, spacious facilities, convenient parking, reasonable fees, and plenty of seating creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back. I can't recommend it highly enough! If you're in the area, don’t miss out on this fantastic local treasure. Five stars...
Read moreI go swimming all Tuesday mornings here. Water is great and best part is they are indoor and outdoor. They also have yoga and karate classes that can teach you lots about yourself and your mind! I can tell you from experience that that yoga made me feel reborn and that Zumba course makes you jump like a baby deer in Honda headlights on grand central busy in the night. If I had to swim for Olympics I’d practice here because they have those huge pools with big diving boards perfect for professional diving! I lost my goggles once and I also lost my mind because the diving was just too good. If I had the chance to take a dive into life it would be here at Echo...
